Jesus revealed Himself and what is soon coming!

Commentary By:  Gordon King

Most people don’t want to know the truth, they would rather live a life of lies and deceit than to heed the words of God Almighty!

Jesus Christ came so that we may have life, and have it more abundantly (John 10:10).

Without Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior we will not inherit eternal life but destruction.

Philippians 3:18-19

For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things.”

Jesus came and revealed Himself to us and what is to come via the apostle John, the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 1:8

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Jesus Christ, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the Almighty!  Jesus Christ is God, He is our salvation, by His blood we are redeemed.

Ephesians 1:7

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace”

Jesus shows John that true believers in Him will be “kept from” the hour of trial which will come upon the whole world (Tribulation Period, the wrath of God).  Believers in Jesus Christ will not go through any of the Tribulation Period, we will be taken out before it begins!

Revelation 3:10

“Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.”

In chapter 4 of Revelation, John is taken up to heaven to see what will soon take place, I believe that this represents the rapture of the church.  This happens just before the unveiling of God’s wrath upon the world.  Chapters 4 and 5 describe the heavenly throne room and Jesus Christ (the Lamb, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David), the only one found worthy to open the scroll which was in the hand of Him who sat on the throne, God the Father.

The wrath of God begins in chapter 6, the opening of the scroll.  This my friends is the beginning of the Tribulation period, and just what triggers the beginning?  The Antichrist confirming a covenant with many (the nation of Israel and many others).

2 Thessalonians 2:3

“Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition”

Daniel 9:27

“Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week”

The Antichrist will be revealed when he confirms a covenant with many for one week (seven year period).  This  seven year period is also known as the Tribulation Period, or the Time of Jacob’s Trouble, among other names in scripture.

Jeremiah 30:7

Alas! For that day is great,
So that none is like it;
And it is the time of Jacob’s trouble,
But he shall be saved out of it.”

It’s also described as the day of the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 5:2

“For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.”

I believe that the day of the Lord encompasses many things, not only God’s wrath, but also the salvation of the nation of Israel, the millennial period and after.  I believe from scripture that the day of Christ is the rapture of the church, when Christ fully redeems all believers to that point in time, the dispensation of time.

Some Christians believe that the rapture will not occur until just before God’s wrath, they hold to a pre-wrath position.  However, the entire Tribulation Period is God’s wrath, so they must really be pre-tribulation, for even the revealing of the Antichrist is a part of God’s wrath upon the world.

The opening of the first seal reveals a rider on a white horse.

Revelation 6:2

“And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.”

What signifies the beginning of the Tribulation Period?  The revealing of the Antichrist confirming a covenant.  I believe that the first seal is the revealing of the Antichrist, an imitation of Jesus Christ, and this is the beginning of the Tribulation Period, it just makes so much sense!

The entire Tribulation Period is filled with God’s wrath, however, at the end Jesus Christ Himself will come down from heaven riding on a white horse as well, with His army of saints also riding along on white horses.

Revelation 1:7

Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

Every eye will see Him, and every knee will bow and confess that He is Lord.

Romans 14:11

For it is written:

As I live, says the Lord,
Every knee shall bow to Me,
And every tongue shall confess to God.”

Jesus Christ is coming, His return for His bride is imminent, it could happen at any time my friends, any time!  No one will see Him coming, but at His second coming every eye will see Him coming!

The rapture will come as a thief in the night, at an unexpected time.

Matthew 24:40-42

Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.”

While His second coming will be proceeded by some very specific events.  However, the reference to a thief in the night is also given in scripture as to sudden destruction coming quickly upon unbelievers as well.

1 Thessalonians 5:2-3

For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.”

The world is unaware of the labor pains that is both happening and coming upon them, they are ignorant.  And as such sudden destruction will come upon them.  But we as believers are not ignorant of the times or the signs, because the good Lord told us before hand what is coming, we should not be caught unaware!

When you see these things beginning to happen then look up, for your redemption draws near!  The signs are all around us, God is shouting from the roof tops, from the mountain peaks, the time is at hand, I come quickly!!!

God bless my friends!  Maranatha!  Looking up!!!
