End Time Signs Increasing!

It’s becoming more difficult to decide which news stories to post, not due to the lack of stories, but due to the overwhelming number of them.  Not only that, but these stories and events are occurring and recurring on a daily basis.  After a while they seem like old news, ISIS, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Boko Haram, evil, murder, hatred, violence, chaos, disobedience, drought, severe weather, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and mass animal deaths!

I don’t know if you have been aware, but earthquakes have been increasing in both numbers and intensity over the past month or so, as have volcanic eruptions.  If you haven’t noticed then you must have been sleeping or on a very long vacation.  The world is shaking, trembling, grumbling, and groaning.  Tensions in the world are not only increasing, but the tensions in the physical earth are also increasing.

Release of tension comes through the release of energy, through earthquakes and volcanic eruptions!  We have recently seen some very large earthquakes, do you think they were enough to release the built up tension?  I think not!  More major earthquakes and volcanic eruptions are coming, and I feel soon!

The world fresh water supply is drying up!  Droughts of biblical proportions are occurring throughout the globe my friends.  Don’t believe me then google it!  These droughts are being downplayed and minimized, yet in reality they will affect billions of people in the world.  Gigantic lakes, reservoirs, and aquifers are drying up quickly.  Fresh water needed for drinking, bathing, cleaning, and irrigation is being depleted at alarming rates!

The Islamic State is not slowing down in its quest for global domination and Sharia law.  In fact, I would say that since the Unites States and other allies have been bombing them, they have only increased their activity around the world.  They continue to hate, kill, murder, rape, plunder, pillage, and destroy on a grand scale.  They are spreading throughout the world like a cancer which has metastasized throughout the body!  They are the embodiment of evil and wickedness.  They are the physical representation of the demonic spiritual realm.

The war in Syria continues at full-scale, as does the civil unrest and terrorism in the rest of the Middle East, Africa, and Indonesia.  The world is a chaotic mess with no end in sight.  It’s amazing at how many riots, protests, and civil unrest/disobedience have been going on around the world in the year 2015 alone, and we are only four and a half months into it!  Attempts at overthrowing governments, political unrest, civil unrest, on and on it goes.

Homosexuality and transgenderism is in the forefront of the news headlines.  The world is being inundated with the media, government, and leftist groups pressuring society into accepting the “gay” lifestyle.  We are being desensitized into accepting homosexuality.  Slowly, this lifestyle is being interwoven into our society as a “normal” way of life.  This is ungodly and an abomination to the Lord!

Many churches are now teaching deceptive messages which are not biblical.  They are twisting the truth, and not teaching the whole truth.  This is apostasy!  Many Christian leaders now say that there are many ways to heaven, not only through Jesus Christ.  Many say that homosexuality is fine with God, and accept homosexuals as church leaders.  Many churches are uniting with other religions, such as Christianity and Islam (Chrislam).

Then there’s the Pope, calling Abbas an “angel of peace”!  What in the world! Are you kidding me?!  The leader of the “so-called” Palestinians who wish to see Israel wiped off the face of the map!  That Abbas?!  And last year the Pope invited religious leaders from different world religions to pray together at the Vatican!  Can you say “One World Religion!”  The Pope is supposed to be the supreme leader of the Catholic church, representing Jesus Christ and what He came into this world for.  Yet, I am seeing just the opposite happening from this Pope!  Beware and very cautious about what you see and hear from the Vatican.  Do not be deceived, test everything against the word of God!  I am leery about many teachings of the Catholic church, however I shall not digress further about that subject in this post.

Day after day I read news stories of a fathers killing their children, spouse, and themselves.  I read of young mothers tossing their newborn infants into trash dumpsters or off of bridges.  I hear stories of children killing their parents and siblings for no apparent reason.  I read these stories almost daily my friends, not just once in a while, but often!  Shouldn’t these stories in and of them-self be alarming?  I think so!

Increases in “honor killings” by parents and friends seem to also be on the rise, or at least we hear much more about them.  People being murdered for getting married, for dating the wrong person, for looking at someone, for saying something or wearing something not approved of by the family, or perhaps converting to another religion.  Unbelievable yet true!  And most of them do it in the name of their religion and gods!

And Iran!  Whew!  What to say about Iran?!  Talk about lying and being deceived, the world is eating it up.  While the world powers are negotiating with Iran over a nuclear deal, Iran is flexing its military muscle in the Persian Gulf, and threatening the existence of not only Israel, but of America and Great Britain as well.  It’s almost as if these world leaders are under some sort of spell, they just can’t seem to put all of the pieces of the puzzle together.  Hmmm, lets see, Iran wants to annihilate Israel, the United States, and Great Britain.  They want to kill anyone not submitting to Allah, and to establish Sharia law throughout the world.  But on the other hand they say that they want to have nuclear facilities for energy and peaceful purposes only, not for nuclear weapons to kill anyone.  Hmmm, sounds good to me, I mean if they say that they want nuclear facilities for peace then why not believe them?  WRONG!!!  Yet this is exactly what the world believes.  Almost unbelievable!

We also see increased persecution of Christians and Jews at an astounding rate.  Christians in the Middle East and in Africa are being slaughtered by the hundreds.  Many more are being forced out of their country and must abandon their homes.  Jews around the globe are also feeling the pressure and hatred towards them.  Many are being victimized on the streets and in their synagogues.  Hatred towards the Jews and the nation of Israel is mounting at an ever increasing rate.

The world is a great big mess folks!  Things are not getting better, they are getting worse.  Tensions are increasing, evil, violence, hatred and murder are on the rise.  Islamic radicals are spreading like wildfire.  Increased government control over our basic human rights is increasing.  Both man-made and natural disasters are increasing.  Severe weather patterns are increasing.  All of these things are signs, signs warning us of what is soon coming upon the world.  Signs that there is a God, and that He is in control, not us!  These are signs for us to repent of our sins, and to bow down to our creator and give Him praise and worship!

If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, then these signs are not to worry you.  On the contrary, they should excite you to know that Jesus Christ will be returning soon!  However, if you are not born again, are not a Christian, then you should be very afraid!  Only Christians will be saved from the wrath of God.  Only Christians will enter into heaven to live for eternity with God.

None of us know just how long we have to live here on earth.  It doesn’t matter if you are 8 or 80, your days are numbered!  Anyone of us could physically die in a moment, without notice.  What would you do then?  Where would you go?  The only way to truly know is to repent of your sins and to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior!  That’s it!

Increased anti-Semitism and Christian persecution, Signs of the Times!

As the days go by the world is sinking further into the depths of evil and sin.  This is one indication of the closeness of Christ’s return to earth for His church.  There are many other indications and signs which warn us of the imminent return of Jesus Christ.

In the Olivet Discourse, Jesus tells us of many signs to watch for including wars and rumors of wars, of earthquakes, famines, and of pestilence.  He also tells us to beware of deception and those that deceive.  There shall be many false Christs.  Christians will be hated and persecuted.

Matthew 24:4-14

 ^“And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. ⁵ For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. ⁶ And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. ⁷ For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. ⁸ All these are the beginning of sorrows.

⁹ “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. ¹⁰ And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. ¹¹ Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. ¹² And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. ¹³ But he who endures to the end shall be saved. ¹⁴ And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”

The hearts of men will grow cold and they shall become more evil and wicked in their ways.  They will scoff at and mock Christianity.

2 Timothy 3:1-5

“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: ² For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, ³ unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, ⁴ traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, ⁵ having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! “

Having a form of godliness yet denying its power.  I find this very interesting.  I believe that there are many so-called Christians who confess to be a Christian yet do not know Christ.  They deceive many and give voice to itching ears!  Beware!

2 Peter 3:3-4

‘knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, ⁴ and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” ‘

These are not the only signs of the times my friends.  There are many other passages in the bible which speak of the last days.  Many of which are found in the book of Revelation and in the Old Testament.  The first of which refers to the Jews being regathered to the land of Israel, then to the rebirth of the nation.

Isaiah 11:11-12

“It shall come to pass in that day
That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time
To recover the remnant of His people who are left,
From Assyria and Egypt,
From Pathros and Cush,
From Elam and Shinar,
From Hamath and the islands of the sea.

¹² He will set up a banner for the nations,
And will assemble the outcasts of Israel,
And gather together the dispersed of Judah
From the four corners of the earth.“

Isaiah 66:7-8

“Before she was in labor, she gave birth; Before her pain came, She delivered a male child. ⁸ Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once?
For as soon as Zion was in labor, She gave birth to her children.”

Ezekiel 37:21-22

“Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; ²² and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again.”

You might ask: “What does this have to do with anti-Semitism?”  Well, a lot actually.  After the Jews once again claimed Israel as their homeland and nation, the world has increased its hatred of the Jews.  Most of the nations now surrounding Israel are threatening to annihilate the nation and the Jews.  This was foretold thousands of years ago in the Old Testament.

Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 speak of a great war with many nations attacking the nation of Israel.  It is known as the “Ezekiel 38 war.”  This has not yet happened in our history.  These verses are too long to post here, please read them for yourself.  The following is an excerpt from the book of Ezekiel.

Ezekiel 38:7-9

“Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard for them. ⁸ After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely. ⁹ You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many peoples with you.”

Another such war was also predicted thousands of years ago.  This war includes most of the nations surrounding Israel.  This great war was predicted to happen in the end times in the book of Psalms and is known as the “Psalm 83 war.”

The following is an excerpt from Psalm 83.

Psalm 83:1-4

‘Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, And do not be still, O God! ² For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; And those who hate You have lifted up their head. ³ They have taken crafty counsel against Your people,
And consulted together against Your sheltered ones. ⁴ They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” ‘

The world is not at peace with Israel before these wars happen.  On the contrary, the world is filled with hatred towards Israel.  This doesn’t just happen over night.  That’s why we are now seeing such intense hatred, evil and violence increasing against the Jews.  It’s all leading up to these great wars.

During the middle of the Tribulation period, or the period after 3 and 1/2 years into it, is known as the “Great Tribulation Period.”  This is when the anti-Christ will sit in the Jewish temple of God and proclaim that He is God.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4

“Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, ⁴ who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.”

There will be great persecution against the Jews and most will flee Israel and hide for their safety.  Many believe that they will go to the ancient city of Petra, in Jordan.

Revelation 12:6

“Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.”

So as we see in the world today, there is an increase in both the persecution of Jews and Christians.  Anti-Semitism in on the rise, and I would say a drastic rise!  The persecution of Christians is also on a drastic rise!  This isn’t happening by chance or by coincidence.  It’s happening because it was foretold in bible prophecy.  It’s all part of God’s plan for salvation. 

The Tribulation period is not for the Christians, or even the gentiles, but for the Jews!  It’s the time of “Jacobs trouble”, a time for the Jews to return to God.  A time for them to see and believe that Jesus Christ really is their Messiah!

Jeremiah 30:7

“Alas! For that day is great, So that none is like it; And it is the time of Jacob’s trouble, But he shall be saved out of it.“

Many Christians believe that we shall go through the Tribulation period, that it’s a time for us to be cleansed.  But that’s not what this time is about.  It’s not about or for Christians.  We have already been cleansed by the blood of the Lamb!  Wasn’t that good enough?!  It’s a time for God’s chosen people, the Jews!  It’s their time.  Most of them have turned their back on God, turned their back on Jesus as their Messiah.  That’s what this time is all about, not Christians!

There will be people being saved during this time, and they shall have to go through the Tribulation period.  Those who remain after the battle of Armageddon will populate the earth during the one thousand-year reign of Christ.

Increased signs of the times, persecution, hatred, evil and violence.  It’s all there, it’s all here now, it’s been written.  How much longer before the return of Christ for His church?

Reaching the blind is a difficult task!

The blind can’t see, the deaf can’t hear, and the unsaved continue to believe the lies!  Even after all of the strange and unusual events occurring throughout the world over the past few years, all of the increase in hatred, evil and violence, the lost cannot see the truth.

The fact is that no matter how frustrating it can be to inform people of what is soon coming upon them, they still remain hardened in their hearts and minds.  They refuse to see, they refuse to hear, and they refuse to listen.

Blinded by lies, they cannot see the wisdom of the truth.  Satanic influence and forces are waging a battle against the lost as well as the saved.  These forces shall attempt to deceive even the elect my friends.  Do not be deceived, do not be led astray, do not be dismayed or lose faith.  For we are fighting against evil spirits and principalities.

At times I feel as though I am beating my head against a brick wall.  I know what is on the other side, I know what there is to gain, and what there is to lose!  But the blind cannot see it, nor can they even comprehend what they are being told by the believers.  It is truly a shame. 

The masses are being led to believe that all is well, that the governments of this world will make things right.  That they will bring “peace and security” to a hurting world.  That they have a handle on the “Palestinian – Israeli” conflict.  That they have Ebola under control.  That these things don’t really effect them and the world will soon be a better place, all will soon be well.

I have news for the unsaved, all will not be well unless you repent of your sins and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ!  He is the only way to peace and security my friends, the only way!

I cannot believe how most people just go about their business as usual, as if everything in the world was fine.  So many people worried about what to wear, what to watch on television, or what to have for dinner.  As if the worst thing in the world is their favorite ball team loosing out to their rivals!  This is what I see happening in the world today, no worries or cares about what really matters.  No real concern about what lies before them, or what lies ahead of them after their physical death!

When push comes to shove, the only real thing that will bring people to their knees before God is pain and suffering.  Yes I said it, pain and suffering!  Most people will not listen or turn to God until times of immense trouble.  When they are down and out, nowhere else to turn.  When their life looks absolutely hopeless.  Unfortunately there are still many who will instead turn to drugs, alcohol, or suicide, which are acts of the devil himself.

God is a patient God, He is long-suffering.  He is also loving, merciful, and forgiving.  Yet He is a God of righteousness and justice.  He will not wait forever.  He has given us many signs to show us that we need to turn from our wicked ways and come back to Him.  He will bring us to our knees if we don’t!  Then the world will see what it means to truly suffer.  Don’t wait until you are at the end of your rope, until God pours out His wrath upon the world.  Repent of your sins now and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.  You may not have much time left, or your heart may be even more hardened and blinded to the truth, then it will be too late!

Yes the world is being deceived into believing many lies.  That Israel is occupying Palestine!  There never ever was a country known as “Palestine”, yet they will tell you there was.  There never was a Palestinian people, yet they will tell you that there was and is!  The land of Israel belongs to Israel, in fact much more land then they currently possess, and it will be returned to the nation of Israel in the very near future. 

We are told that the Muslim religion is a religion of peace.  This is a great lie and deception of our time my friends, do not believe it!  We are told that the “Islamic State” is not part of Islam or the Muslim religion.  What!!!!  Of course it is and they are!  They are at the very heart of the Muslim religion, do not be fooled!!!!

We are being fed sinful propaganda and ideology which is changing our society, such as homosexual marriage, and the merging of religions such as Christianity and Islam (Chrislam!).  Our own government leaders are blind to the truth and are twisting what is right and what is wrong.  Good and righteous moral values are now deemed intolerant and wicked, while acceptance of everything else is now thought of as good.  Christians are being demonized by the government and society at large.  This is only the beginning, as it shall get much, much worse!

Hard working Americans are now penalized, while lazy entitled people are being rewarded!  This is a travesty and injustice which will not last very long.  I am in no way criticizing people who are unable to work, but speaking about individuals who are able to work but choose not to, or choose not to do their best at whatever it is that they do.  We have seen this time and time again ever since Obama was elected President.  Equal pay for unequal work.  Strive to work hard, to get an education, and you will be rewarded the same as an individual who decides to do nothing!  Sounds like Socialism to me!  Even God tells us that we as believers will be rewarded in heaven for our good works!  He doesn’t tell us that we will all be rewarded the same, for whatever we do or don’t do!  This is a principle of God Almighty!

The truth is that the lost are blind, they cannot see the truth without the intervention of God.  He is the one who will soften their hearts and open their eyes.  We as believers, no matter how hard it can be, must continue in faith to tell the lost of what they are missing and where they are headed without Him.  As difficult and frustrating as it can be sometimes, we must be strong, courageous, and steadfast in our walk with the Lord.  Sometimes it’s not an easy task, and we shall endure tribulation and persecution. 

Remember this, “He who is in us is greater than He who is in the world” and  “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.

God is with us, He is for us, He is our Father for eternity!  One day soon we shall be with the Lord in heaven.  Maranatha!

….End Time Prophecy Unfolding!

Hello Folks, this is a Special Update Alert!  Keep your eyes on the Middle East!  New prophetic events have happened this past week and continue to occur everyday bringing us closer to the Rapture and the Tribulation period!

What an exciting time to be alive.  We have been chosen by God to live in these end times!  Prophetic events are unfolding before our eyes.  The end time prophecy of the bible is happening faster and faster, but also with more intensity.  The Middle East is buzzing with activity from nations all around the globe.  Civil unrest continues to abound.  Fear and discontent rise among the nations.  There are so many events happening right now around the globe that it is difficult to keep up!

Palestine Becomes a State?!

On November 29th the United Nations voted to recognize Palestine as a non-member observer state.  This resolution passed with a whopping 138 country majority in favor, 9 countries against and 41 countries abstaining.  This victory for the Palestinians is huge.  If this resolution is passed by the UN Security Council then the Palestinians could go in front of the “International Criminal Court” and make claims against Israel: Acts of terrorism, War crimes against them and Occupation of Palestinian territory.  Of course all of these claims are lies and propaganda which most of the world is buying into due to the fact that they hate Israel.  Apparently along with making Palestine a state, the UN has also planned to give the Palestinians the land they occupied before the 1967 war.  But, that’s not all, the real kicker is that they intend to give the Palestinians East Jerusalem as their capital!

Syrian Civil War and Chemical Weapons!

As the civil war in Syria escalates, President Assad has been possibly moving around chemical weapons.  World leaders have been warning Assad that if he uses chemical weapons there would be serious consequences.  Are we getting much closer to seeing Damascus a ruinous heap as the bible predicted?  It certainly looks that way.

As tensions continue to rise in the Middle East the Red Sea is no exception.  Iran equipped with nuclear weapons from Pakistan could easily travel much closer to Israel in the Red Sea or through the Suez Canal.  Could that possibly even happen?  Sounds like Iran is up to some more dirty tricks!  I guess there are other ways to obtain nuclear weapons then to make them yourself.  Very interesting indeed!

Egypt Protests and Riots Escalate!

Protests and riots continue to escalate in Egypt as newly elected Morsi has taken complete control of the government and the country.  Most Egyptians are poor with 69% of it’s citizens living below the poverty line (http://projectegypt.org).  Can the people of this country withstand any economic turmoil?  With the current chaos and government control things are not looking so good for Egyptian citizens right now, from either a political or an economic view.

The planned strikes and march raise new fears of unrest, threatening to derail the country’s transition to democratic rule.

² “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. ³ And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it. ⁴ In that day,” says the Lord, “I will strike every horse with confusion, and its rider with madness; I will open My eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness. ⁵ And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in the Lord of hosts, their God.’ ⁶ In that day I will make the governors of Judah like a firepan in the woodpile, and like a fiery torch in the sheaves; they shall devour all the surrounding peoples on the right hand and on the left, but Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place—Jerusalem.

The world will fight against Israel and God

Zechariah 14:2-4

² For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

³ Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

⁴ And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

The Battle of Armageddon

Revelation 16:14-16

“For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.  ¹⁵ Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.  ¹⁶ And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.”

Everything is falling into place just as the bible predicted.  Bible prophecy has never been wrong.  It is the infallible word of God.  God has given us plenty of warning regarding the end times.  The bible tells us these things, but there are many believers who study the bible and are watching for the signs of Christ’s return.

Luke 21:36

“Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man”

Mark 13:35-37

“Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning—lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”

These “watchers” are warning others of the signs and the close return of Jesus.  If you are reading this then you are being warned!  Christ is returning soon.  We do not want to be found sleeping or ignorant of the times.  It is a commandment from Jesus for us to watch and be ready!  We need to be walking close to God, watching for his signs, studying his word, sharing his word and the “Good News” and performing the work that he has given us.  We Christians will continue to be a light to the world while we remain on earth.

If you are not a Christian reading this then you are also being told and warned as well!  Jesus said that the news of salvation will be preached throughout the world and then will be the second coming.

Matthew 24:14

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

If you are not a Christian or are not sure about your salvation then I strongly encourage you to accept Jesus now as your Lord and Savior!  Please click on this link to find out more about the “Good News” of the gospel.  Jesus loves you!  He loves everyone!  He is standing at the door now.  Our time in the world as we now know it is about to end.  There is not much time left to accept Jesus as your savior.  If you wait until after the rapture of the church has occurred it will be extremely difficult to accept Jesus and to survive!  Satan will rule the earth, but God will also pour out his wrath on the unbelievers.

Signs of the Times!

Hello and welcome to “End Time Bible Prophecy”.  The world we live in is struggling to survive.  The daily television “news reports” bombard us with death and violence, wars and rumors of wars, disease and famines, earthquakes and tornadoes.  Destruction is occurring around the globe at an alarming rate.

                                      Jesus tells us to be ready and watch for his return

Matthew 24:36

Jesus tells his disciples  “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.”

Matthew 25:13

“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.”

Matthew 24:44

Jesus says “Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

 

*Biblical Warnings*

The bible warned us that these events would occur before his coming and occur with increased frequency.

Matthew 24:3-8

 Jesus speaks to his disciples on the Mount of Olives.  They ask him “Tell us when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the close of the age?”  Jesus answered saying “See that no one leads you astray.  For many will come in my name saying, I am the Christ, and they will lead many astray.  And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars.  See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.  For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.  All these are but the beginning of birth pains.”

*National Uprisings

We are now witnessing what I believe to be the birth pangs.  Look at the news in the Middle East.  The Arab spring.  The muslim brotherhood now taking control of many Middle Eastern Nations (the muslim brotherhood does not appear to be friends of either Israel or The United States).  The current uprising in Syria.  Over 30,000 Syrian citizens killed as of this date.  Tensions between Syria and Turkey continue to rise.  The city of Damascus has been under attack.

Isaiah 17:1

“The burden of Damascus.  Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.”

Are we close to the destruction of Damascus?

 

*Wars and Rumors of Wars

We have witnessed wars increasing in number and intensity (human death toll).  World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War, Iraq War, War on Terror.  These are most of the major wars that have occurred during the last 100 years.  There have been many other wars between various countries and there continue to be wars, both large and small, in Africa, the Middle East, Indonesia and South America.  Rumors of wars continue to haunt us on a daily basis.  When will World War III begin?  Some think that it already has.

Iran continues to threaten the very survival of Israel.  Iran has openly stated to the world to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.  Iran continues to move forward in developing nuclear weapons.  Iran has recently sent drone aircraft into Israeli territory.  Why?  To test the capabilities of Israeli technology?  Perhaps.   Are they making practice runs before they attack Israel?  Other countries around the world have also threatened Israels existence as well.

 

*Natural Catastrophes

Earthquakes have been increasing in quantity and intensity, not only this past century, but, even more so in this past decade.  Tornadoes and hurricanes have also increased in numbers and intensity.  Hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people all over the world have been killed in the past ten years due to natural catastrophes.  We have seen nothing of this proportion at any time during human history (other than the Great Flood during the years of Noah).

                                                         

 

*Famines and Disease

Famines and disease have increased greatly.  Tens of thousands of people are dying every day due to starvation.  We see it on the news.  Not just in Africa, but around the world.  People in the United States are also suffering from not having enough to eat.  Diseases have also increased dramatically:  Aids, HIV, bird flu, swine flu, mad cow disease, whopping cough, malaria, tetanus, measles, tuberculosis, meningitis, syphilis, MRSA  and the list goes on.  Not at any time in history have we seen so many varied diseases occur at the same time.  Claiming millions of deaths annually!

*False Christs

False Christs have also arisen.

Matthew 24:23

Jesus says to his disciples “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it.  For false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.”

Many have come and proclaimed to be the Messiah.  In 1978, Jim Jones and the Jonestown massacre; 1993, David Koresh in Waco Texas; 1954, Sun Myung Moon; 1980, Jung Myung Seok; 2007, David Mail Shayler; 2006, Jose Luis De Jesus Miranda; there are many more.

 

*Evil and Corruption

Jesus also warned that the last days will be like in the days of Noah.

Matthew 24:37

“For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.”

What does this mean exactly?  During the days of Noah, people were living their daily lives, eating and drinking, marrying, working, but, they were also very evil and corrupt.  Turning their backs on God in rebellion.  Lovers of money and pleasure, lustful, liars, murderers and thieves.  According to Jesus, that is exactly how it will be before his return.  I don’t know about you, but I sure see our society decaying at a rapid rate.  It looks to me as if we are already in the end times.  If you are a Christian with Godly morals and values you are looked down upon.  The world has accepted homosexuality, drugs, sexual pleasure, evil deeds, lying and blasphemy against God.  Our society in the United States has taken a turn for the worse in the past decade at an accelerated rate.

 

*Persecution of Christians

Revelation 2:10

“Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer.  I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days.  Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.”

That brings me to my last point.  The persecution of Christians.  God warned us that Christians will be persecuted for believing in and following Christ.  We see this happening more and more every day around the world.  Muslims are beheading, crucifying and imprisoning Christians around the globe daily.  Why?  Did they commit a crime?  No!  They were executed and imprisoned because they believe in Jesus Christ and have accepted him as their Lord and Savior!   In the United States, our own government is not standing up for Christians, but, they are for Muslims.

Evil deeds and deceit will rule the world during the Antichrist’s reign on earth.  This time is known as the “Tribulation Period”.   We are getting closer to this period each day.   We are not just battling evil people, we are battling evil spirits.  Spiritual warfare is happening even as you read this text.

God is Almighty.  He is all-powerful.  He has chosen the Jewish people as his own.  He has given them the State of Israel forever.

Genesis 12 verse 1-3

  Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.   I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Bless Israel.    Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior while there is time.  Remember, no one knows the time of Christ’s return.  Make sure you secure for yourself a place in Heaven and the New Earth for all of eternity!
