Take the time to encourage one another!

Commentary By:  Gordon King

I know that I have written much recently about the darkness and the evil in the world around us today, and it may seem to be a real downer to many.  In no way is it my intention to discourage anyone, especially my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ!

I write what I sense, and I write how I feel led by the Holy Spirit.  When I write over and over again about such darkness then it means that I am warning of things soon getting worse, I can almost see it coming from around the corner.  I am doing it as a warning, that we must stay strong and courageous in our battle against the enemy!  That we must be aware of what is happening, and of the times that we are living in.

There have been times in my life over the past decade when I have felt the same intensity of such darkness and dark things came to pass soon after.  I am certain of some things which will soon come to pass, however, I am not quite so sure about others exactly.  One thing that I do know and can feel strongly are evil spirits coming against followers of Jesus Christ, especially those who are performing God’s will, those that pose a threat to Satan and his demonic plans.

These are the times when we all as brothers and sisters in Christ need to be encouraging one another, supporting each other, and praying for each other!  We all need each other so that we can be and remain strong in the Lord, this is one way that God helps to make us strong.

I truly appreciate with all of my heart the many followers of this blog who encourage me and pray for me.  You have been a blessing to me, more than you know!  Thank you all!

We as believers in Christ are all on a journey with the same end goal, our final redemption and glorification when Jesus Christ comes to take us home!  This is not an easy road to follow, nor is it pain free.  In fact, if we are true and faithful to God, then we shall endure greater trials and hardships than those who are not as faithful.  Those performing God’s will shall suffer more and be attacked more frequently and with greater intensity than those not performing God’s will or perhaps those who are doing so only half halfheartedly.

We must all remember that all we do for the Lord shall be rewarded richly once we get to heaven!  God is good and He desires to bless His children with good gifts, to shower us with His love, and to provide us with our needs.  We should never take our eyes off of the Lord, He should always be our main focus, no matter what is happening in this world around us!

Let us make sure that we encourage each other, that we are kind and loving to one another, and that we help those in need.  Let us do so with a sound mind, with self-control, and with a loving heart, a heart after God!

Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, always to be cherished, always to be remembered, and always to be thanked and worshiped!  He is the light of the world, the life, and the only way to heaven!  Amen.

God bless my friends!  Maranatha!

And thank you Gordon for your prayers and this blog. It’s understandable the truth of reality bites but it must be said. Scriptures’ is alive with activities happening in our lifetime, some of which is ugly but not all, there IS a rainbow in the horizon. We’re encourage to stand and counted worthy in God’s eyes when we do His will. Let’s lift ourselves up with the fruits of His Spirit in us, as you have said many times as well. He has not forsaken us but refining us and that my friend, is a blessing, we’re becoming more Christ-like. Maranatha!
    Your sister in Christ.

  3. Thank you Gordon, I agree it is so important to stand with each other in these times and pray and encourage one another.

I especially feel comforted to know that there is a Christian who prays for me and I do thank you for remembering me in your prayers!. I agree the enemy is so full on attack when are working, interceding, spreading the Gospel , witnessing and warning others etc etc. I even sleep with my armour on these days !!!

Let’s not forget when we feel under attack and brought low to sing praises and give thanks and the enemy will flee! It is so hard to remember the way out when stuck in the miry clay or sinking down in the pit of despair, the last thing we feel like doing is singing or lifting up our heart in thanksgiving but I know it works every time!

    God bless!
    Maranatha!
