Andrey Votyakov was caught on camera battering the middle-aged man, who was lying in the intensive care unit, just hours after he’d undergone surgery at a hospital in Perm.

Votyakov has been fired because of the incident.
He died soon after.
Votyakov has reportedly blamed the bizarre frenzy on exhaustion, claiming he’d been working for 36 hours without a break.

Police are weighing charges against the doctor.
The 30-second surveillance video, filmed at the Federal Cardo-Surgery Center in February, initially shows the pair arguing.
Then the medic is seen hitting his patient on the head and chest.

The patient died shortly after Votyakov beat him.
The clip was posted online this week and soon went viral.
Votyakov has since been fired for the incident, revealed his boss Sergey Sukhanov on Wednesday.
Police are also investigating, saying they will soon decide whether to press charges, reports the Moscow Times.
