Have you ever felt abandoned?
Perhaps as a small child either one or both of your parents abandoned you, they may have left for that very purpose, or maybe one left because of divorce, or a death. Either way, you felt as if you were abandoned by them, left alone.
Maybe you had some friends that you thought were very close, that you could confide in them about anything, that they would listen, hear, and support you. Then one day they just suddenly disappear, they stop coming around, and they really don’t want anything to do with you anymore. You thought that they would support you through thick and thin, that they would be around to support and encourage you no matter the situation, but that wasn’t the case, and now you are feeling all alone, abandoned.
This is the world that we live in, it’s a world where nothing lasts forever, a world where people are just more concerned with their own lives then the lives of others. More concerned about the cares of this world than the truth of God and His word!
The only One that never abandons us is God! And there may be times in our lives when we feel abandoned by everyone else in the world except God. No one to confide in, no one to turn to, no one for encouragement, support, or help. Even if our world is falling apart all around us, the only one we can really trust in is God Almighty!
The fact is that the Jews and the nation of Israel are in that very same predicament and scenario my friends! It seems that most of the world is against them, and they have been since the Jewish dispersion (Diaspora) almost two thousand years ago.
The Jews have been true refugees for thousands of years, it not only happened in 70 AD, but even before that time when the Assyrians conquered Israel in 722, and then again by King Nebuchadnezzar (607-586 B.C.). But ever since the Jewish diaspora in 70 AD the Jews have been immigrants in foreign lands, subjects to antisemitism all around the world. It wasn’t until 1948 when Israel once again became a nation that other nations came to their aid and befriended them.
Even the United Nations recognized Israel and accepted them as a member State back in 1949. But it has been the United States of America that has been the closest and most reliable ally to Israel since that time. Providing Israel with billions of dollars in aid, both financial and military, more than any other nation in the world. America has stood with Israel in times of difficulty and supported them as a nation.
On the flip side, the United Nations is now antisemite, and America has also attempted to divide the land of Israel several times (two state solutions), and America has suffered by natural disasters for doing so.
Much of the world is against Israel and the Jews and the numbers are growing! Antisemite protests around the world show just how much people hate the Jews and the nation of Israel. And although America is aiding Israel with military arms and munitions, they are doing so with stipulations.
It doesn’t matter that the Jews are facing extermination by surrounding nations and terrorist organizations, that innocent civilian lives were heinously taken by barbaric monsters, antisemitism is on the rise!
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said something very interesting back in October of 2013:
“If Israel is forced to stand alone, Israel will stand alone.”
He was referring to not allowing Iran to obtain nuclear weapons. However, his statement was very prophetic, in that day (Ezekiel 38 War) Israel will be standing alone! It will be abandoned by all other nations, including America.
Joe Biden on the other hand told Israel on October 18, 2023:
“I come to Israel with a single message — you’re not alone,” the president said in remarks at the conclusions of his meetings. “You are not alone. As long as the United States stands, and we will stand forever, we will not let you ever be alone.”
The fact is that Israel will one day be standing alone, and America will do nothing more about it than protesting.
There is coming a time when very specific nations will rise against Israel, and the world will do nothing to help the Jews and Israel, nothing but protest, even their closest ally, America! This my friends is known as the Ezekiel 38 War, the War of Gog of the land of Magog, when Israel will stand alone, with no one except God Almighty to stand with them!
Ezekiel 38:13
“Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all their young lions will say to you, ‘Have you come to take plunder? Have you gathered your army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?”
The good Lord has a reason for this war and for Israel standing alone.
Ezekiel 38:23
“Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.”
Ezekiel 39:7
“So I will make My holy name known in the midst of My people Israel, and I will not let them profane My holy name anymore. Then the nations shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel.”
Ezekiel 39:28-29
“then they shall know that I am the Lord their God, who sent them into captivity among the nations, but also brought them back to their land, and left none of them captive any longer. 29 And I will not hide My face from them anymore; for I shall have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel,’ says the Lord God.”
What we see happening now in Israel in it’s war against terror is just a precursor as to what’s coming. God will not only allow, but bring nations against Israel, with no one to aid them but God Himself! All to and for the glory of God Almighty!
