Do you know the Season? The Signs are all around us!

Commentary By:  Gordon King

Signs are guideposts that warn us of what lies ahead, they are given to us so that we may know and so that we don’t get lost.  Signs help us to keep on the right path, but they also tell us just how close we are to our destination.

God in all of His wisdom gives us signs, signs of what lies ahead, signs of His soon return for His bride.  God gave the Israelites many signs of the coming Messiah, yet most ignored the signs and they didn’t understand them when they saw them.

Matthew 16:1-3

Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing Him asked that He would show them a sign from heaven. He answered and said to them, “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’; and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.”

And now we find ourselves in the same situation.  The good Lord is returning soon, in fact at any time, the signs are all around us, yet many ignore the signs, and when they do see them they cannot discern them.

None of us know the day nor the hour of Christ’s return for His bride, but we should know the season, and the season is now!

Many Christians and pastor’s do not believe that Matthew 24:36-43 is talking about the rapture of the church, but I do!

Matthew 24:36-43

But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.”

Many Christians believe that the taking of one and leaving of the other is reference to God separating the goats from the sheep at the end of the Tribulation period.  If this were the case do you really think that people will be grinding at the mill during that horrific time?  Do you think that people will be living their lives as they usually do during that time?  I sure don’t!  The entire Tribulation period is a time of God’s wrath upon an unbelieving world, it will be the worst time ever on planet earth, billions of people will be killed, and those remaining will live a life of hell on earth.

No one knows that day or the hour of Christ’s return, it will be like the days of Noah.  I truly believe that He is referring to the rapture of the church, when people will ignore the signs of the times, living life just as they have before.  However, this is also the time just before the beginning of the Tribulation period which takes place soon afterwards.

God is giving us sign after sign of the closeness of the rapture of the church and the beginning of the Tribulation period.  We must be able to discern the signs of the times.  What are the signs of the times?

  • Increasing deception
  • Increasing famine
  • Increasing wars and rumors of wars
  • Increasing pestilence
  • Increasing tensions between ethnic groups
  • Increasing hatred and violence
  • Increasing lawlessness
  • Increasing immorality
  • Increasing false teachers and prophets
  • Hearts growing cold
  • Increasing natural disasters
  • The setting stage for the Tribulation Period

The apostle Paul tells us what people will be like in the last days.

2 Timothy 3:1-5

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!”

Do you see any of these signs increasing?  I don’t know about you but I see them all increasing exponentially by the day!

The apostle Paul also warned us that the rapture of the church would be come after a great apostasy of the church.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-3

Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,”

The falling away, the apostasy, must come first!  Come first before what?  Before our gathering together with Christ!  Before the rapture of the church!!!

Does anyone other than me see the apostasy of the church growing exponentially these days?  It sure is, and it’s crazy to see it happening and so fast!

Many churches are teaching that Jesus Christ isn’t the only way to heaven, and that Jesus Christ is not God.  They are following along with the plans of the Global Elite towards tyranny and control, towards a One World Government.  They are supporting BLM, the Social Justice Movement, and CRT, further dividing the races and promoting racism.  None of these things are godly, none of them are of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.  They are prime examples of apostasy in the church today!

How is it that so many can discern the weather by the sky above, yet they cannot discern the signs of the times?

We are living in the last days my friends, the signs are all around us, they are so blatantly obvious yet so many cannot see nor understand.  God gave us these signs so that we would know and be ready.

Matthew 24:42-44

Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

We will not know the hour the Lord is coming, but we will know the season and the season is now, therefore be ready!

God bless my friends!  Maranatha!  Looking up!!!
