Fire near Foresthill closes parts of Tahoe National Forest

NEVADA CITY, Calif. (KCRA) —Parts of the Tahoe National Forest closed late Thursday after Forest Supervisor Tom Quinn signed an emergency closure order, according to a news release.

The release indicated that the American Fire area, including roads and trails within the area, are closed until further notice.

Only authorized personnel are allowed to be in the area, according to the release. Officials said Mosquito Ridge Road is open to public traffic.
