Security and Safety. Is It Worth Our Freedom?
Commentary by: Gordon King
What is our freedom worth? Is it worth security and safety? Giving up all of our Constitutional rights? Is that what it has come to? Our Freedom is at stake!
I for one, want peace, security and safety. I think most of us do. But at what price? The American government was created to serve the people not the other way around. Our Constitution gives us certain rights and privileges. Among them are the right to free speech/religion, the right to bear arms, the right to a speedy trial by our peers, and the right against illegal search and seizure.
The government wants to take away these rights in the name of “security and safety”. They say that it is necessary to spy on us and collect information to protect us. From who? From ourselves? They say that in order to provide us with the freedom that we have loved for hundreds of years, they must impose more laws, regulations and control over us.
The government is an “Enormous Beast”. A beast that continues to grow in size and power. It’s appetite is never satisfied. Give it more and it grows larger and consumes more. The government never takes less or shrinks in size. It only gets bigger and hungrier!
So what then, should we expect from the government to protect us? What should we give in return for “peace and safety”? I say that we keep all of our Constitutional rights. The government is too big already and should be downsized. Specific departments should be done away with. In order to obtain peace and safety, our government is taking away from us our freedom, liberty, and viability as a people.
When we as a people give in to big government, we loose. We become filled with doubt and fear. We loose our ability to hope for a better future or trust in government and society. Our lives become rigorous and futile. The freedom that we once knew will only be found in history books. This is the future of America, if continue on the current path that we are now on.
As for me, I say give me Freedom, give me Liberty! In God I trust, not government! That is what our Nation was founded upon. Not Bigger Government!
God Bless everyone! May the peace, comfort and safety of the Lord be with you all! In the precious name of Jesus. Amen
Gun Rights Speaker Forcefully Ejected from NJ Public Hearing (VIDEO)
Tensions were high as both sides of the gun control aisle spoke during a Senate Law and Public Safety Committee held earlier this month in Trenton, NJ.
As the hearing progressed, gun-rights supporters grew frustrated at the legislators move to amp measures that would only pertain to law-abiding gun owners and not the criminals they aimed to stop.
In a particularly heated exchanged, 2nd Amendment advocate James Kaleda, 36, was asked to keep his comments relative to bills being heard. “I am on the bill. And I will be heard,” Kaleda said. But Committee Chairman Donald Norcross (D-Camden) called Kaleda out of order.
“This hearing’s out of order,” Kaleda replied.
Within moments, a visibly disgruntled Kaleda was forcibly escorted out of the committee headquarters by law enforcement.

Shock video makes case for high-capacity magazines
‘Because government decided how many rounds you need to protect your family’

A new video dramatization demonstrates in shocking, living color one reason gun-rights advocates resist bans on high-capacity magazines for firearms: Armed thugs don’t always attack alone.
The video by MB Studio Productions depicts a startling but believable scenario in which armed thieves target a house when the family is at home. The family calls 9-1-1 and the father quickly retrieves his pistol from a gun safe. But after fending off the first armed intruder, the father stands horrified after pulling the trigger on a gun now empty of bullets as the second intruder enters the home.
The dramatization’s final scene is tragic, and the video concludes with the words, “Because your government decided how many rounds you need to protect your family.”
Since the Newtown school massacre governments of all levels have attempted to limit the size of firearm magazines, effectively restricting the number of bullets a gun can hold at a given time. Oak Park, Ill., for example, bans possession of a magazine holding more than 10 rounds, and the state of New York goes even further, restricting gun owners to only seven rounds of ammunition unless using the weapon at a firing range.
Brian Lockerman, owner of MB Studio Productions, however, explains at the beginning of the video that the dramatized public service announcement will be only the first of many to illustrate “who these laws really effect and why they don’t work.”
“I am passionate about protecting our Second Amendment rights because I know this is the right that protects all other rights,” Lockerman states on an MB website. “I am not going to tell you that you have to own a gun. It’s not for everyone. But the push to take away the individual freedom and Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms is rooted in fear and misunderstanding.”
He continues: “Your constitutional rights are threatened because anti-gun people seem to defy all reason and sanity with their beliefs and fears. Most of them have been taught literally zero about guns, have never held one in their hands and are terrified by the thought of them. We can’t approach this perception problem by simply telling our pro-self-protection, pro-gun side of the story.”
To that end, MB Studio Productions is planning further videos as well as a reality-based TV show emphasizing his message, called “Shoot to Thrill.”
The MB Studio Productions video can be seen below. (Editor’s note: The following video contains violence and two instances of obscene language some viewers may find offensive):

What Does Gun Control Have To Do With Christianity?
By Gordon King
Hello folks, may the peace of God Bless You and Guide You!
I know that many of you may be asking the question: “What does gun control have to do with Christianity?”.
Many of you may be wondering why I post so many articles on gun control?
Well, nothing directly. However, if you stop and think about it, quite a lot. First off, it helps to know a little bit about the founding history of our country (America). I will give only a brief account and explanation as this is not meant to be a history lesson, nor, am I a historian!
Our country (America) was founded by Pilgrims who were “Puritans” and “Separatists” from the Church of England. The church was under the rule of Queen Elizabeth I and then King James I. The Puritans wanted to purify the church and return to a more basic and simple worship of God. Like in the early days of the Christian church. This however, was illegal. The Christians at this time were not even allowed to own a bible in English. They only heard the Word of God through the Monarchy and his/her elected priests. These Christians were persecuted by the government. It was an extremely dangerous time for them. They headed to America in the early 1620’s to establish a colony where they could worship God as they saw as necessary, however, under very tragic conditions.
After the colonies had been established for approximately 150 years, the American Revolutionary War began in 1775 and lasted until 1783. This (war) was due to the British government ruling the colonies without representation, (such as) more specifically, imposing heavy taxes on the colonists. During that time, 1776, the Americans wrote the “Declaration of Independence”, declaring the independence of America as a new nation.
In later years, 1788, the United States Constitution was ratified, which established a strong national government. In 1791 the United States Bill of Rights and it’s amendments was established as a list of important rights given to its citizens.
The first four amendments to the Bill of Rights are posted here, with the second amendment pertaining to gun control:
- First Amendment – Establishment Clause, Free Exercise Clause; freedom of speech, of the press, and of assembly; right to petition
- Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
- Second Amendment – Militia (United States), Sovereign state, Right to keep and bear arms.
- A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
- Third Amendment – Protection from quartering of troops.
- No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.
- Fourth Amendment – Protection from unreasonable search and seizure.
- The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Thomas Jefferson argued that “When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”
When the government takes away our rights as given in the above mentioned amendments, then it was meant for the citizens of the United States of America to be able to defend themselves. Our country was founded on Christian morals, values and God himself!
Therefore it is extremely important for Americans and Christians to be able to defend themselves. Not only from criminals or enemies of the state, but, from a tyrannical government. A government gone bad!
Once the government takes away our right to bear arms and our arms, then, they have all the power they need to institute whatever they desire. They can control populations, organizations, churches, food, power, water shelter, land, change laws, imprison people, exterminate people, etc, etc, etc.
This is why I post so many articles on the subject. Because it is so vital to our survival as Americans and as Christians.
The bible does not say that we are not to defend ourselves. I know, some people will argue with me on this point. However, when Jesus said to turn the other cheek, that is not what he meant. That is an entirely different subject. And I will not discuss that here. He also told his disciples to go out and sell what they have and buy two swords (which is equivalent to two AR-15s nowadays). Why did he do that? For show? Because he just liked swords? I don’t think so. They were meant for self-defense.
Another reason that I post these articles is to show everyone that we are very close to Christ’s return. This is another sign of the end times.
So let us be aware, keep sober and be prepared. We know what is coming. We don’t know exactly when. We don’t know how bad it will get before the rapture. If you don’t believe in the rapture, then you should be even more concerned.
God Bless Everyone! I pray for the lost to come to Salvation! I pray for God to pour out his Holy Spirit upon the world for revival and Salvation!!! Peace….. 😉
