A fiery crash involving a big-rig and four other vehicles, followed by explosions, has resulted in at least one death and several injuries on Interstate 10 in Pomona and prompted authorities to close lanes on the freeway.
The crash was first reported at 8:12 p.m. on eastbound I-10 near the Towne Avenue offramp. Within minutes, the wreckage became engulfed in flames and exploded, according to the California Highway Patrol.

POMONA, Calif. (KABC) — A search is underway for multiple gunmen after a wave of deadly shootings in Pomona over the weekend.
According to coroner’s records, there were at least three people killed within Saturday night and Sunday morning.
There were four crime scenes across Pomona during that time frame, though authorities have released information regarding just three of those cases. Sources tell Eyewitness News that these shootings are not connected.
The most recent incident occurred at about 3 a.m. Sunday at San Bernardino Avenue and Benedict Way. Police say Pomona resident Angel Bravo, 29, left his home to head to the store and was standing by his car, which was parked on the street, when another vehicle drove up next to him. Someone in the suspect car opened fire, killing Bravo. That car was described as a white compact vehicle.
