LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A man visiting the hospital for treatment was arrested for masturbating in public, threatening those around him, vandalizing property and assaulting police officers.

On Saturday, July 27, around 2:30 a.m., Austin Compton, 24, was witnessed at University Hospital touching himself while telling an elderly patient being treated next to him, in explicit detail, he was going to rape her.

According to a police report, Compton threw his urine on a medical technician while threatening other staff members. He was also observed pulling a sink and medical equipment off the wall causing significant damage to hospital property.

When police attempted to arrest Compton, he resisted, kicking officers and biting one, breaking the skin. Once he was placed in the back of a police cruiser, officers said he kicked out the rear side window of the car. He remained hostile until being booked.

AK-47-Wielding Gunman Fires 37 Times at Shocked Cops During Routine Traffic Stop

Terrifying dash-cam footage captures the moment a crazed motorist opened fire with an AK-47 rifle at police officers who had just pulled him over for a minor traffic violation in Middlefield, Ohio.

James Gilkerson, 42, exited his parked car and then fired 37 shots at the officers and their patrol car, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported. Officers Erin Thomas and Brandon Savage returned fire, killing Gilkerson.

Police have no idea why Gilkerson opened fire.

“He got of the vehicle, intending to kill my officers. We don’t know why he did it,” said Middlefield Police Chief Arnold Stanko. “He was a scumbag, and a terrorist, and he’s dead.”

In the March 10 video, Gilkerson exits his car—which the officers pulled over for running a stop sign—and sprays the patrol car with rounds of gunfire, cracking the windshield.

Thomas, reportedly outside the patrol car on the driver’s side, is heard shouting as bullets begin flying at them. Stanko said Gilkerson was shot several times, but kept firing; he even shouted, “Kill me.” Savage returns fire through the windshield, after which the officers kill Gilkerson.

Thomas lost a finger in the shootout; Savage sustained minor injuries to his left thigh.

Here’s the dash-cam footage of the shootout (Warning: Graphic imagery):

Stanko said eight 40-round magazines were found inside Gilkerson’s car, as well as some disturbing reading material (e.g., Backyard Rocketry: Converting Model Rockets into Explosive Missiles and Homemade Detonators: How to Make Them).

Officials say the officers’ actions were justified and no grand jury proceedings will be necessary.

Softball-sized hail rained down on a community in Texas in the early morning hours of Wed., April 3 leaving significant damage in its wake.  The hail shattered windows in buildings and cars in Hitchcock, Tex.

Texas-Sized Hail Pounds Homes

The Hitchcock, Texas Police Dept. says 7 of its 11 police cars were seriously damaged by the hail.  Several trailer parks also sustained heavy damaged as well as a church and fire station.

A spokesperson for the Hitchcock, Tex. Police Dept. told The Weather Channel that she was inundated with calls to 911 about the hail storm.  At one point, she says she couldn’t hear people on the phone because hail was pounding the roof of the police station so violently.

There is still a threat of isolated damaging hail and winds in Texas today.  The storm front that produced this hail will linger from Texas and across the Gulf States through Thursday but will produce mostly rain.
