GOLDSBORO, N.C. —  The campus of Goldsboro’s Wayne County Community College is on lockdown.

A message on the school’s website says it is not a drill.

NC university on lockdown after report of gunman

(SOURCE)   GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina A&T State University is evacuating several buildings and advising other students to take shelter after a report of a man with a rifle on campus.

University spokeswoman Samantha Hargrove says campus police received a report of a gunman in the General Classroom Building at 9:57 a.m. She says there has not been any verification of the initial report or reports of injuries or shots being fired.
