(CNN) — At least eight people died when their charter plane crashed Thursday morning in Lagos, the country’s emergency management agency said.

One survivor was found at the site, it said in a Twitter post.

The agency had previously reported that 11 people died and four were taken to the hospital.

The Associated Airlines plane was carrying 20 passengers when it took off from Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Nigerian state-run TV broadcaster NTA reported.

Among the passengers were several relatives of the late former governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Agagu, who were accompanying his body on the flight, NTA said.

The 30-seat passenger plane crashed during takeoff and burst into flames, the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency said.
