A Chicago police officer is hospitalized in serious condition with a fractured skull, a victim of black mob violence.
The as-of-yet unidentified officer was responding to a call early Saturday morning when he found dozens of people in the street, creating mayhem. He immediately called for backup, but instead of waiting for reinforcements, went to the assistance of a woman under attack.
The mob turned on him: He was struck on the head with the bat.
“No one tried to help him or stop the attack,” said one Chicago police officer. “That happens a lot: Mob violence. No assistance. If anything, most of the people are either participating or encouraging the violence. Not trying to help.”

When a group of black men were planning a home-invasion robbery in Fayetteville, N.C., on Friday, they stuck to an M.O. that had succeeded all over the country, but made one fatal error: They chose the wrong home.
The residents of the targeted house were home at the time and armed. After what local authorities report as a “gun battle,” two of alleged robbers died.
Most home invasion robberies follow the same script: Find a residence in a nice neighborhood where people do not live too close together. Statistics show potential victims are likely white or Asian, though professional athletes of all races are common targets, too. In this case, police are not identifying the identity of the home owner.
In an increasingly common crime around the country, especially in rural areas near cities, the perpetrators rush in, maybe beat up the occupants, take what they came for and get out. Maybe kill someone. Maybe not.
But this is the most important part of the plan: The potential victims need to be defenseless.
And that is where Xavier White, Dominik Lavon Council, Lamyer Gorminie Campbell and Derek Rashaun Hair went wrong: They chose the wrong house.
Police are not releasing the name of the homeowner who shot and killed two of these men as they broke into his home 3:37 a.m. Friday.
Xavier White reportedly died after crawling to a neighbor’s house a block a way and begging for help. Dominik Lavon Council was reportedly found nine miles away, abandoned on the road with a fatal gunshot wound.
The other two suspects, who initially escaped, were taken into custody Sunday and charged with burglary and assorted offenses. This is not their first brush with the law.
The homeowner was also wounded and has gone into hiding, say local media reports. He is not expected to be charged because North Carolina is considered a strong “castle law” state – where a homeowner is allowed to use deadly force against anyone breaking into his home or even car. He is not required to retreat.
The Fayetteville area was made popular in the movie “Cape Fear,” where a convicted felon terrorized his former lawyer and family for doing a poor job at his trial. One of the perpetrators died at the Cape Fear Valley Hospital.
The incident reflects another example of black mob violence, a pattern documented in the book:
“White Girl Bleed a Lot, the return of racial violence and how the media ignore it.”
Local media were hesitant to discuss the wider racial and 2nd Amendment issues the attempted robbery presents. The daily paper reported it dutifully, but did not allow comments – as many local media outlets do not when the crime is racially charged.
But at local TV news websites, dozens of comments touted the incident as a win for the Second Amendment in the face of increasing racially-charged crime.
A web visitor identified as Al, for example, told the ABC affiliate, “Four guys break into a house, and two are dead – not bad. Dunno how many shots were fired, but evidently is was more than Biden’s ‘two shots in the air.’ Yet these bozos will tell you, ‘you don’t need more than a 10-round magazine.’ Guess they never heard of flash mobs either. Oh wait, CBS calls them ‘mischievous youths.’”
Over at the local Fox News affiliate, David Hedgecock chimed in: “Perfect example of why we need to preserve and protect our right to bear arms. I hate to think what would have happened if the government had confiscated their gun or guns in this case. It would likely be the homeowner that has assumed room temperature. Right on for the 2nd Amendment.”

EDITOR’S NOTE: The links and video in the following report may contain offensive language.
When the people of Jacksonville learned a mob of at least 15 black people had attacked an elderly white man, kicking him and beating him with a big stick, many were not surprised.
There had been at least three other reports of black mob violence in that area in the two days surrounding the Friday attack.
And just two weeks before that, four black people were arrested in connection with the murder of a 13-month old child during a robbery in that area.
But this latest example of black mob violence was different in at least two ways: first, at least one local media outlet identified the mob as black – a rarity among the 500 black mob attacks throughout the country documented in the book “White Girl Bleed a Lot, the return of racial violence and how the media ignore it.”
The local daily paper in Jacksonville has yet to do a story on the assault.
The second surprise was that two Good Samaritans came to the man’s aid, stopping their car, driving away the attackers, and saving the man from further serious injury. Or worse.
The Good Samaritans were black.
One of the heroes was a woman, who asked the Jacksonville ABC affiliate to hide her identity out of fear of retribution. She described the attack:
“We seen a whole bunch of African-American kids you know, beating and stomping on an elderly Caucasian guy and he had bags and everything, he couldn’t even defend himself because it was so many kids,” said the anonymous witness. “Between 10 or 15 kids it could have been more because they just scattered like ants when we came back around.”
The police says there were two other incidents in the area within the same time frame that match the description of the suspects.
As is often the case, local residents who posted comments on the story fleshed out the details of other incidents. Said Paul Calewarts:
I was [near the scene of the attack] the other day and a couple of YBM’s (young black males) standing at a bus stop threatened to take a swing at me as I rode by.
One viewer who identified himself as Vlad Tepes, wondered why the media rarely reports the race of those involved in black mob violence:
“Invariably what is described in the mainstream media as ‘youths’ are, as you know even see the video, are really gangs of young blacks acting as hooligans, rioters, or worse. The first part of accepting reality is to see it as it actually is.”
Mike Johnson said the racial violence is more common than people know:
“This is an epidemic!” Johnson said. “A black mob beating up white people happens several times a month…..and the mainstream media NEVER covers it!”
“Despite the growing number of eyewitness accounts, many of whom post graphic videos, some insist the threat of black mob violence is being exaggerated because white people do it, too.
Says Stephen Croft: “Do I need to remind you that almost every mass shooter has been white and from a broken home? That almost all serial killers are white?”
No arrests have been made.

Several people have been injured in Sri Lanka’s capital, Colombo, when Buddhist monks led hundreds in an assault on a Muslim-owned clothing warehouse.
Buddhist monks were filmed throwing stones at the storage centre of popular garment chain Fashion Bug in a suburb of the capital on Thursday night.
Police told AFP news agency that forces had been deployed to guard the area.
The attack comes as hard-line Buddhist groups step up a campaign against the lifestyles of Muslims.
The government’s Minister for Justice Rauff Hakeem, himself a Muslim, urged the prime minister to call an urgent cabinet meeting to discuss the security of Muslims following these attacks.
These developments come four years after the army in the mainly Sinhalese Buddhist country defeated Tamil separatists.
During Sri Lanka’s bitter civil war the Muslims – a small Tamil-speaking minority, about 9% of the population – kept a low profile, but many now fear that ethnic majority hard-liners are trying to target them.
The BBC’s Charles Haviland in Colombo said the monks led a crowd which quickly swelled to about 500, yelling insults against the shop’s Muslim owners and rounding on journalists seeking to cover the events.
Five or six were injured, including a cameraman who needed stitches.
Eyewitnesses said the police stood and watched although after the trouble spread they brought it under control.
“We have deployed extra units of STR (Special Task Force commandos) and police to guard the area,” police spokesman Buddhika Siriwardena told the Agence France-Presse news agency.
“The situation was brought under control within a few hours,” he said, adding that no arrests had been made.
Television footage showed broken glass and clothing from the warehouse strewn in the street.
Hard-line Buddhist groups led by monks also sent around a text this week urging people to boycott Muslim shops when stocking up for the forthcoming Sri Lankan New Year festival.
After some Muslim groups called a strike in protest against a growing Buddhist campaign against their lifestyle, including halal food classification, a hard-line Buddhist party in the governing coalition issued a statement saying: “Sinhalese Buddhists should be determined to teach such Muslim extremists a lesson that they will never forget”.
The assault comes a day after police set up a hot-line to tackle complaints about anyone “inciting religious or racial hatred hatred”.
