Economic Collapse
August 13, 2013
The percentage of Americans that are economically independent has dropped to a stunningly low level.
In order to be economically independent, you have got to be able to take care of yourself without any assistance from anyone else.
Unless you are independently wealthy, that means that you either have your own business or you have a full-time job.
Unfortunately, as you will see below, the percentage of Americans that are self-employed is at an all-time record low and the percentage of Americans with a full-time job has declined to a level not seen in about 30 years.
Tea Party Says Time For IRS is Over
Nation needs something that ‘can never be used as a political weapon’
The IRS gives annual bonuses of $86.9 million per year but this year, the new acting commissioner of the IRS, Danny Werfel, told employees that those will be eliminated.
“In this unprecedented budget situation, I do not believe the IRS should pay performance awards,” said Werfel, but he added, “The elimination of bonuses was not a reflection on the quality of work done by the agency.”
He said that eliminating the bonuses would prevent furlough days later in the year, as well.
The IRS has come under heavy scrutiny since it became obvious that it was targeting minority groups, such as tea party groups and Jewish organizations.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Senate Republican leader, who last year accused the Obama administration of Nixon-style dirty tricks, says the Internal Revenue Service’s targeting of conservative groups is part of a broader government assault on free speech.
Seizing on the spate of controversies besetting the White House, Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky says the American people are recognizing a pattern that encompasses government agencies, the administration and its allies in Congress, left-wing groups and public-employee unions and their coordinated attack on First Amendment rights.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Already reeling from a pair of scandals, the Internal Revenue Service is drawing new criticism over plans to hand out millions of dollars in employee bonuses.
The Obama administration has ordered agencies to cancel discretionary bonuses because of automatic spending cuts, but the IRS says it’s merely following legal obligations under a union contract.
The agency is about to pay $70 million in employee bonuses, said Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, a senior Republican on the Senate Finance Committee, which has jurisdiction over the IRS.
Will U.S. Even Survive Obama’s Full Term?
Media giant: America being ‘taken over’ by president’s policies
The rash of scandals facing Barack Obama and his administration in recent days has some people wondering if the president can survive his full term through January 2017.
Britain’s Telegraph newspaper is even running the headline: “You have to wonder: Will Obama see out his full term?”
But U.S. radio giant Rush Limbaugh says that’s the wrong question to ask.
“That’s not the question. The question is: Will America last through Obama’s full term?” Limbaugh said on his program Monday.
IRS Tells Ministry: You Can’t Talk About That
Hear federal agent say ‘You have to know your boundaries’
A new tape recording has been released that reveals an Internal Revenue Service agent stumbling and hesitating her way through a telephone call with a non-profit organization with the basic message that its officials are not allowed to spread their pro-life message.
Officials with the Alliance Defending Freedom said the situation developed while an application for tax status was pending for a nonprofit organization that provides support to women in abusive pregnancy situations.
The recorded conversation reveals the IRS agent, Sherry Wan, telling Ania Joseph of Pro-Life Revolution, “You cannot, you know, use your religious belief to tell other people you don’t have a belief, so I don’t believe you need the right to do this, start confrontation, protesting, uh, prot, uh, protest. .. You don’t apply for tax exemption.”

It may take Congress considerable time to comb through the paper trail of the IRS targeting of conservative groups — the records stretch at least 64 million pages long.
CNS News reports that Acting IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel has informed Congress that the IRS is currently reviewing well over 64 million documents connected with officials “who may have potentially
relevant information” about the targeting.”

In the face of the outrageous IRS intimidation scandal now sweeping across America, gun control advocates are changing their tune. All of a sudden, the idea that the federal government could engage in tyranny against the People of America is no longer a “conspiracy theory.” It’s historical fact right in your face thanks to all the recent scandals now bursting onto the scene: IRS intimidation, secret targeting of non-profit groups for possible “thought crimes,” the Department of Justice seizing AP phone records and so on.
