Why Are They Trying So Hard To Demonize Gun Owners?

There is an all-out effort to demonize gun owners in the United States today.  Those that own guns are repeatedly portrayed as being uneducated, mentally deficient racists in the mainstream media.  No evidence is ever produced to actually back up those claims.  Gun owners regularly make lists of “potential terrorists” in official government documents, and many government officials openly regard them as ultra-paranoid “conspiracy nuts” that are a serious threat to national security.

Of course the truth is that gun owners are actually among the most law-abiding and patriotic people in the entire nation, but that doesn’t really fit with the radical gun control agenda of the progressive elite.  In order to move their agenda forward, they must make gun owners look bad, and they will go to ridiculous extremes in order to achieve that goal.  And to a certain extent, it is working.  As you will see below, some large financial companies no longer want to conduct business with gun owners, and just the sight of a gun is enough to get people freaking out and calling the police in many communities in America today.

U.S. gov’t ‘buying up’ AK-47 rifles

Government buying up AR 15s

But Obama pushing gun control on American citizens

(WND) Secretary of State John Kerry signing the United Nations small arms treaty is nothing more than empty symbolism, and President Obama will get nowhere in his latest attempt to advance gun-control legislation, says Bill Frady, host of “Lock ‘n’ Load Radio” presented by Gun Owners of America, who also noted that the U.S. government has been buying up AK-47 rifles and ammunition.

Kerry signed the U.N.’s Arms Trade Treaty this week while in New York City for the opening of the U.N. General Assembly. Supporters say it would clamp down on weapons trafficking between rogue regimes and terrorist organizations. Frady told WND it would have a restricting effect on law-abiding gun owners in the U.S. as well.

“It also dictates to the signing states that they have to impose new rules and regulations within their nations to make sure they’re able to comply with this treaty and that covers small arms,” Frady said. “Terrorists are not running around with American-made weapons. They’re running around with AKs. There’s various nations that will underwrite any cause (such as) Russia, China. The AK is the prevalent weapon on the planet. So we’re not the problem. I did notice that along the way (Obama) did manage to get in there and back Syrian rebels to the tune of $340 million.

Another Step Towards Gun Control?

Commentary By:  Gordon King

On Monday, September 16th, 2013, a mass shooting at a Naval Yard in Washington DC occurred.  Armed gunmen carrying an AR-15, hand guns and a shot gun,  opened fire killing at least 12 people and injuring an unknown amount.

Is this another step towards gun control in America?  I am not saying that this was a staged event or a false flag.  But, will it be used as yet another feather in the hat of the government, as an argument for gun control.  I think that it will.  Another government victory against the citizens of the United States.

We must stand together to protect our rights, our freedoms and our lives.  Without the ability to defend ourselves, we are sitting ducks for the criminally minded individuals.

I pray that God will intervene and protect our rights.  I pray for the peace, protection and safety of the innocent.  May God be with the injured and the families of the slain, to give them peace, comfort, healing and protection.  Amen

None of us need further proof that the Second Amendment protects us from unofficial as well as official thugs. But if you are cursed with morons for friends, try running this pair of stories past them: the disarmed-by-law and therefore helpless mother in New Jersey whom a non-governmental burglar beat in front of her 3-year-old child vs. an armed father in Texas who ably defended his family in a similar scenario.

And what is the response from New Jersey’s rulers to a serf’s suffering because they’ve gutted the Constitution? Do they abjectly apologize, present the lady with a rifle so that she can defend herself hereafter, and slink back to their sewers? Do they tell their neighbor and New York City’s nanny, Michael Bloomberg, to shut his ignorant, eccentric-billionaire’s mouth before freelance goons pummel his villeins, too? (Yo, Nanny: hard to head for work and earn the taxes that keep your little fiefdom afloat when we’re hospitalized with concussions, broken legs, and wounds from the guns bad guys own despite all your regs.) No, they introduce more laws. The “Home Invasion Law … would upgrade a home-invasion from a third-degree to a second-degree crime.” Oh, joy! That oughta put the fear of God into the braindead brutes who prey on residents.

Unfortunately, though this fussy distinction of degrees may please legislators, their disarmed victims will still wind up beaten or dead before the State wastes our money caging the perps — if it manages to apprehend them. No such worries from that admirable Texan gunslinger: he drilled two of his three assailants before they could hurt him or anyone else. (Thanks to Steve Cross for the link.)

A video has emerged of a gun control advocate at a Second Amendment rally in Philadelphia arguing that not only guns but knives, nails, forks and anything with a sharp edge should be banned and that the government should develop new kitchen utensils that are unable to harm people in order to keep everybody safe.

Gun Rights Speaker Forcefully Ejected from NJ Public Hearing (VIDEO)

Tensions were high as both sides of the gun control aisle spoke during a Senate Law and Public Safety Committee held earlier this month in Trenton, NJ.

As the hearing progressed, gun-rights supporters grew frustrated at the legislators move to amp measures that would only pertain to law-abiding gun owners and not the criminals they aimed to stop.

In a particularly heated exchanged, 2nd Amendment advocate James Kaleda, 36, was asked to keep his comments relative to bills being heard. “I am on the bill. And I will be heard,” Kaleda said. But Committee Chairman Donald Norcross (D-Camden) called Kaleda out of order.

“This hearing’s out of order,” Kaleda replied.

Within moments, a visibly disgruntled Kaleda was forcibly escorted out of the committee headquarters by law enforcement.

Robbers Shove Homeowner In Closet, Where He Kept His Guns

Another pro-Second Amendment story the national media dare not touch

In yet another pro-Second Amendment story that the national media dare not touch, a homeowner in Sharpstown, Houston was assaulted by three robbers who broke into his house and shut him in a closet – unaware that the closet was where he kept his guns.

With the homeowner thinking the three men had left, he exited the closet armed and proceeded to walk downstairs, before confronting one of the burglars and exchanging shots.

The homeowner was unharmed but the wounded robber stumbled outside and collapsed onto the floor, where he was watched by Neighbor Craig Gaddis who had heard the gunfire. The other two men fled the scene.

Neighbors said that the area had been plagued by a spate of recent robberies. The wounded suspect was hospitalized and the homeowner faces no charges for defending his property.

“Guess what? The owner had a gun,” Gaddis told local ABC 13 news. “He did exactly what he was supposed to do — with the gun, that’s what they’re made for — protect his home.”

This is precisely the kind of story, reflecting the Second Amendment in a positive light in stopping a crime, that happens routinely but is rarely if ever mentioned by the national media, which instead only obsesses about guns when they are used in the commission of a crime.

You won’t see Piers Morgan inviting this homeowner on CNN for an interview, nor will you see this story receive any attention at the national level.

Back in March we reported on the story of a Texas boy who watched his sister and mother being raped during a home invasion by two men who later abandoned a plan to murder the three victims because the boy was able to grab a handgun and send the two individuals fleeing – another incident that received zero national attention.

As a recent study reported on by the LA Times highlighted, while tragedies such as the Aurora shootings and the Sandy Hook massacre have been exploited by gun control advocates to push for new laws to disarm Americans, actual gun crime has in fact plunged. This hasn’t translated to opinion polls of American citizens, who because of contrived, media-manufactured perceptions believe that gun crime has risen.

“In less than two decades, the gun murder rate has been nearly cut in half. Other gun crimes fell even more sharply, paralleling a broader drop in violent crimes committed with or without guns,” states the report.

Despite these figures, a recent Pew Research Center poll found that more than half of Americans erroneously believed that gun crime was on the increase.

According to a 1993 National Self- Defense Survey conducted by Gary Kleck, Ph.D., a professor in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Americans use guns to defend themselves against a confrontation with a criminal up to 2.5 million times a year. This means that every day in America some 6,800 people use guns to protect themselves.

Scholars Clayton E. Cramer and David Burnett have documented how “a great number of tragedies — murders, rapes, assaults, robberies — have been thwarted by self-defense gun uses.”

However, only a fraction of those cases ever make the local news and barely any at all make the national news.

In addition, as gun ownership has increased in the United States, crime has gone down, as the video below explains using the latest FBI crime statistics.

D.C. Moves to Force Gun Owners to Buy Prohibitive Liability Insurance

In a frontal assault against the Bill of Rights, the District of Columbia is moving to force firearms owners to purchase prohibitively expensive liability insurance.

California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Pennsylvania have also proposed forcing gun owners to buy liability insurance.

Democrat City Council member Mary Cheh proposed the law. It requires residents purchase at least $250,000 in insurance coverage before city government would consider applications to register a firearm.

If passed, the law will be the first in the country and serve as a precedent for Democrats and gun-grabbers working to dismantle the Second Amendment.

No such insurance policy currently exists, according to the Washington Times. “We oppose proposals that would mandate gun liability insurance as property-casualty insurance does not and cannot cover intentional criminal behavior,” said Willem O. Rijksen, vice president of public affairs for the American Insurance Association.

Not purchasing insurance or allowing a policy to lapse would result in a loss of Second Amendment rights in the District. The legislation would be retroactive and current gun owners would be mandated to purchase insurance within 30 days.

“Conjuring new gun control schemes and further taxing law-abiding residents exercising a constitutional right will not result in a reduction of violent crime in the District. Ensuring that criminals are arrested, prosecuted and punished will,” Andrew Arulanandam, spokesman for the NRA, told the newspaper. “Regrettably, D.C. leaders are focused more on pushing their political and social agendas than on working to keep their residents safe.”
