Hello folks! I hope and pray that you are all well and under the protection of the Lord. I pray for vision, truth and enlightenment for all. Amen
I find myself, almost daily, in a situation with another Christian who thinks that I am a fanatic. Can you believe that? A fanatic. What exactly does that mean?
The Free Dictionary definition: fanatic [fəˈnætɪk] 1. “a person whose enthusiasm or zeal for something is extreme or beyond normal limits.”
Ok, so is that such a bad thing? Of course my zeal for God is beyond normal limits. I am filled with the Holy Spirit of God. It’s the supernatural power of God that drives me. Aren’t all Christians supposed to be like that? I believe they are. If you are truly saved and a child of the Almighty God, Jesus Christ, then you should be a fanatic. You should be filled with the Holy Spirit and driven to spread the word of God. You should be walking with God daily, praying to God throughout the day, seeking the wisdom and knowledge of God. Asking God to give you his gifts of the Spirit. We should be hungry for more of God! This is what God asks of us. These are his words to us:
Matthew 22:37 “And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
Revelation 3:19 “Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.”
Matthew 25:31 “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
Mark 16:15 “ And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”
Colossians 3:1-2 “If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.”
Hebrews 11:6 “Whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him”
1 Chronicles 16:11 “Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!”
Do you study bible prophecy? I love to study bible prophecy. One third of the bible is prophetic. Why in the world would a Christian not want to learn or hear about bible prophecy. But, I hear it all the time from other Christians: “Oh, you’re not going to talk about that again?” “You are over the top.” “You are going to far.” “I don’t like to talk about that stuff.” “I have friends who are really into that.” “Everything in the bible is not true fact, somethings are allegorical.” “Revelation is written to put fear into your heart, it’s not really true prophecy.” And I hear it from unbelievers as well: “You’re a nut.” “What planet are you from?” “Don’t start talking about that religious stuff.” “You’re a conspiracy theorist.” “Those are just stories, it’s not true.” God gave us prophecies for his glory. Also to give his children advance notice and warning of what is to come.
Luke 12:40 40 “You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”
2 Thessalonians 2:9 “The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders”
Luke 12:54-56 54 “He also said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once, ‘A shower is coming.’ And so it happens. 55 And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, ‘There will be scorching heat,’ and it happens. 56 You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time?”
1 Thessalonians 5:2-9 2 “For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4 But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. 5 For you are all children[a] of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. 6 So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. 9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,”
Well, I don’t know about you, but as for myself, I believe the entire word of God to be the truth. God has planted mysteries in the bible. They shall be revealed to true believers in the end times. If we, as Christians, love God and believe his words to be true, then we must believe the entire bible to be the truth. We are not to only believe what we choose to believe, but we must believe all of God’s words. We are not to pick and choose to suit our life styles. If that were the case then why even bother? Why believe and put our trust in God? If we do not believe that the entire bible is the true, infallible word of the living God, then what difference does it make? It wouldn’t. Therefore I rest my case. I believe in God and all of God’s words.
John 17:17 “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (ESV) 16 “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
(NLT) 16 “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.”
As Christians we need to study the entire bible. We must study bible prophecy. We must study Revelation. We need to learn from God’s words. He is telling us what is to come. Jesus tells us to be prepared. He gives us many parables regarding this (Matthew 25: Ten Virgins, Matthew 25:14–30 Bags of Gold, Matthew 25:31–46 Sheep and Goats). God’s mind is greater than our own, his ways are greater than ours. God’s ways are often mysterious. We shall not understand much of the Lord’s ways until we get to heaven.
Revelation 21:7-8 shows the fate of those not going to heaven: “Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
1 Corinthians 2:9 “But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”
Revelation 21:1-5
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
Revelation 21:21-25
And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and the street of the city was pure gold, transparent as glass. And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. By its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it, and its gates will never be shut by day—and there will be no night there.
Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
These are the words of the living God, Jesus Christ. Like it or not. We are to study the entire bible. We are to have zeal for God. To seek him daily. To pray daily, without ceasing. To spread his word and lead the lost to salvation. If you are an unbeliever, then I strongly urge you to accept Jesus now. We do not know how much time we are allotted here on earth. Give your life to the Lord. You will never regret it. On the other hand, if you don’t, then you will always regret it. Think about it, pray about it.
