Elementary School Massacre – End Times?

The world we live in will never be the same

The school massacre that happened on Thursday December 14, 2012 was a horrific nightmare.  A lone gunman entered the school and opened fire, killing twenty children and eight adults.  What were his motives?  What was going on inside of this person’s mind leading him to commit such a heinous crime?

My heart weeps for the children and adults that were slain in cold blood.  I pray that the Lord Jesus is with them all.  I pray that the Lord is with their families, gives them comfort and peace.  I pray that the Lord pours out his Holy Spirit upon the world for enlightenment, the softening of hearts and the salvation of all those who are unsaved.  I pray for the protection of the innocent.  Amen

I know what is causing these things to occur.  It is exactly what Jesus told us would happen in the end times.  The spirit of Satan is upon the whole world.  He shall deceive many and cause death, destruction and chaos.  He will lead many away from the loving arms of God.  This is the truth folks.  We are now seeing the works of Satan.  Believe.  Do not be deceived.  Ask God for enlightenment and discernment to see the truth.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 NIV

“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.”

1 Timothy 4:1 ESV

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons,”

1 John 5:19 ESV

“We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.”

Ephesians 6:12 ESV

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”

Revelation 12:9 NIV

“9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.”

We are living in the end times folks.  This is only a small precursor of what is to come.  The Lord has given us warning as he is leading me to also give warning.  Now is the time to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.  Once the tribulation period begins (which could happen any day) God will send a strong delusion so that everyone will believe Satan’s lie:

(2 Thessalonians 2:9-12  “9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”)

This period of time will be extremely difficult to see the truth and accept Jesus.  Therefore, it is vitally important to accept the Lord before this time. 

Matthew 24:21  “21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.”

I believe that we are very close to the beginning of the tribulation period.  I also believe that the rapture of the church will be pre-tribulation.  If I am wrong then I am wrong.  However, if I am right then those who believe in a mid or post tribulation rapture may not be ready in time.  This is the “imminence” of the situation.  We need to be walking with the Lord daily.  Doing his work and his will daily.
