A chemical warehouse with hazardous materials inside went up in flames Wednesday morning, lighting a power pole on fire and prompting four alarms, fire officials said.
The fire broke out about 1:15 a.m. at 2117 South Anne St. in a building that houses metal containers with a corrosive material, said Orange County Fire Authority spokesman Steve Concialdi.
An address search showed the name of the business as Abrasive Warehouse & Equipment.
The blaze reached a utility pole, prompting a call to Southern California Edison over power outage concerns, Concialdi said.
Firefighters have taken a “defensive stance” to allow the fire to burn, he said.
No evacuations were ordered as of 5 a.m., officials said.
