The shooting took place on Hart St. in the Bushwick section at about 3 p.m. as cops were responding to a harassment call.
Dozens of people were injured when a vehicle being chased by police collided with an MTA bus in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn Monday evening, authorities say.
Law enforcement sources said when police pulled over a black Camaro and spotted a gun inside the car, the Camaro took off. The car then collided with a bus near Herkimer Street and Albany Avenue at about 4:45 p.m.
The FDNY says 41 people were hurt, including the driver and the passenger of the car, who had to be extricated. They were arrested by police.
Passengers on the bus also reported injuries, most of them minor. Twelve people are reported to be in serious condition.
(AP) NEW YORK — A 1-year-old boy died Sunday night after being shot in the head in New York City, the second such shooting of a toddler in eight days.
Police said Antiq Hennis was being pushed in a stroller by his mother and father while crossing a street in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn about 7:20 p.m. Sunday when shots were fired and the boy was struck.
Authorities said the child was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital with a gunshot wound to the left side of his face but did not survive his injuries. He was declared dead at the hospital.
“I heard three to four shots. … I saw a man with a stroller screaming: `My baby got shot! My baby got shot,’ ” witness Gina Gamboa, 23, told the New York Post.

Artist Anthony Antonellis barely winced as a Brooklyn body modification specialist cut open the skin between his thumb and index finger with a 0.75 inch blade and inserted a small RFID chip.
The RFID chip is the size of a grain of sand and was encased inside of a glass capsule before being placed under Antonellis’ flesh.
Dominique Garcia, 22, had gotten into an argument with pedestrians blocking the road in East New York.
A Brooklyn man riding in a car was shot to death after he got into a fight with a group of pedestrians who were blocking the road, police said Monday.
Dominique Garcia, 22, was riding with a friend in a 2011 Toyota Camry driven by Garcia’s brother when they found their way blocked by a crowd at the intersection of Van Siclen and New Lots Aves. in East New York about 4:30 a.m. Sunday, cops said.
A ferocious fight broke out, and one of the pedestrians whipped out a gun and shot Garcia once in the head, officials said.
Garcia’s brother drove him to Brookdale University Hospital, where he died about 12 hours later.
There were no arrests.
