Isaiah 19 “A Prophecy Against Egypt”

Prophecy Being Fulfilled

1 September 2013

The Arab Spring, Islamic uprising, riots in Cairo, millions of Egyptians protesting with violence, evil and murder.  The Muslim Brotherhood once in power, is now rioting against the military government in protest.  Egyptian killing Egyptian, brother against brother.  This is all prophesied thousands of years ago by the prophet Isaiah.  The Nile river will dry up, fields of crops will wither and there will be no more fish to catch in the river.  Then the Lord will cause Israel to bring terror to the land of Egypt, and the Egyptians shall shudder in fear and terror.  This prophecy is now being fulfilled, but will not be complete until the remaining Egyptians turn to God and accept him as their Lord and Savior, then God will call them his people.

Freedom in Egypt? It Just Gave Men The Freedom to Rape Me in Tahrir Square

As violence erupts in Cairo, woman attacked by a gang in demonstration recounts her ordeal

She saw them running towards her as she approached Cairo’s Tahrir Square and within seconds she was surrounded.

What followed for Yasmine El-Baramawy was the most terrifying 70 minutes of her life – a prolonged, brutal rape and sexual assault by dozens of men, while a crowd looked on. And did nothing.

‘I felt hands all over my body, as they tore at my clothes like savage animals and tried to pull down my trousers,’ recalls the 30-year-old musician and composer.

More than 100 thugs also beat her with sticks and slashed at her with knives – disgusting, degrading ‘punishment’ because she dared to join the protests against former President Mohammed Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood party.

Yasmine was back in Tahrir Square yesterday – and once again felt that rising sense of panic as vast crowds clashed.

(Reuters) – Thousands of Sudanese called for the overthrow of veteran President Omar Hassan al-Bashir on Saturday, spurred on by an opposition trying to stoke an Arab Spring style uprising.

The opposition, capitalizing on anger over soaring food prices and corruption, has threatened to stage mass protests to topple Bashir within 100 days.

The uprisings that shook the Arab world have passed Sudan by as the security forces usually break up the frequent small street protests by students before they have a chance to spread.

But on Saturday, several thousand people – possibly as many as 10,000, according to witnesses – rallied in a square in Khartoum’s twin city Omdurman, the biggest rally in years.

‘Missing prophecy’ reveals future of Israel

Exclusive: Jim Fletcher reviews latest from sizzling author Bill Salus

We are witnessing, in the Evangelical Church in America, a remarkable phenomenon: As Bible prophecy “heats up” and becomes more relevant by the day … fewer are paying attention.

That this is a fulfillment of prophecy is all the more amazing (2 Peter 3), and what’s more, it isn’t a surprise to researchers like Bill Salus.

While the Rick Warrens of the world minimize the importance of the Bible’s predictive prophecy, Bill Salus is leading a resurgence of interest, and his ground-breaking research into the semi-obscure Psalm 83 is riveting. In a new book, “Psalm 83, the Missing Prophecy Revealed: How Israel Becomes the Next Mideast Superpower,” Salus seems to be a step ahead of other Bible prophecy teachers.

For example, his reading of Psalm 83 – in which a confederation of Israel’s Arab neighbors resolve to unveil a “Final Solution” for the “Israel problem” – reveals facts that are literally happening on the ground now, week by week.

Israel’s discovery of a huge natural gas field in the Mediterranean (“Leviathan”) is a game-changer, economically, for the embattled little nation. Salus rightly understands this to be a possible trigger for larger end-times battles to commence (see Ezekiel 38-39). The Israelis are suddenly sitting on a trillion-dollar resource and figure to make nice with Turkey in order to lay a pipeline into Europe. Such a scenario is what Salus sees as luring old enemies (Russia/Iran) south to attack Israel.

For those of us who have watched the region for many years, there is a sense that the pressure currently applied to Israel by the international community is perhaps the worst since the state was founded 65 years ago. This is but another item that makes “Psalm 83, The Missing Prophecy Revealed”so timely and engrossing.

As I’ve said before, Bill Salus is one of the most skilled researchers in this field today, and that ability is evident on every page.

The Psalm 83 scenario shows us a political and military coalition between Israel’s neighbors. Were they to attack Israel, it would exactly fulfill Psalm 83, in which the Jewish state’s neighbors wish to “wipe out” the very name of Israel. Sounds like the identical language being used weekly now from such as Iran, Syria and Egypt. Conditions that didn’t exist until Salus’s book was in its final stages now form a definitive frame for the Mideast conflict brewing.

Salus burst onto the Bible prophecy scene a few years ago with the terrific “Isralestine.” He then added to his talent by writing “Revelation Road,” which presented in end-times scenarios in a novel form. I thought then as now that it was one of the best treatments of that genre that I’ve yet read – and that career stretches back 20 years.

Now, with “Psalm 83, The Missing Prophecy Revealed,” Salus returns to his forte: research and writing that reads like tomorrow’s headlines. From what I’ve heard, pre-sales were through the roof for this book, and it’s easy to see why.

In particular, Salus understands the significance of the Palestinians in today’s end-times plot. For decades, the political tool known as “Palestine” has simmered. Now, 20 years after Oslo, the world (as Barack Obama claimed last year) is getting tired of the status quo, which means Israel is to blame for the impasse in negotiations.

In other words, the status of Jerusalem and the very fact of Israel’s existence is the trigger to a collection of battles that fulfill prophecy. Again, Bill Salus’ research in his latest book reveals this in astonishing ways.

Notice, please, how detailed his research is: “Though Hosea 1:9-10 speaks of a time when Israel would be reclassified as ‘not My people,’ this declassification did not find final fulfillment during Hosea’s time, whose ministry spanned from 750 to 725 B.C. Rather, it was a prophecy of events to come. The title ‘My people Israel’ continued to apply even during the time of the prophet Jeremiah, whose ministry began in the thirteenth year of Josiah (628 B.C.). They continued to hold the title even during the Babylonian captivity, evidenced by the fact that Daniel was still prophesying from within Babylon during that period.”

The thousands of hours the author has invested in research and writing are a gift for the reader and serious student of prophecy. I know a bit about this community, and now, a new Bill Salus book is a much-anticipated event, signaling his rise to the top ranks of prophecy scholars.

Even before U.S. State Department officials grasped what was happening with the Arab Spring, Salus was writing about such conditions that would present Psalm 83 in full flower. For those paying attention, the very charter of Hamas sounds like a copy of Psalm 83!

All this is presented in rich detail in “Psalm 83, The Missing Prophecy Revealed.” And, although he “lives in” the Bible prophecy community, Salus understands the wider culture. It is his eye on that demographic that makes this new book so important. With the world hurtling toward an uncertain future (in the minds of most), Bill Salus has solid answers.

Al-Qaida’s leader has urged Muslims in Arab Spring countries to unite to institute an Islamic state, while warning France that its intervention in Mali will be bogged down.

“I warn France that it will meet in Mali, with God’s permission, the same fate America met in Iraq and Afghanistan,” Ayman Al-Zawahri said in a 103-minute audio message posted on militant websites late Saturday.

In the recording, al-Zawahri urged Muslims to liberate their lands from oppressive regimes and foreign troops, apply Islamic law, halt the plundering of Muslim wealth, support rebellious Muslims and oppressed people worldwide, and establish the Islamic Caliphate, or religious state.

His last audio message, in which he urged Muslims to join Somali militants, was in November.
