Now CNN anchor wants to amend Bible
Says Scripture and U.S. Constitution ‘inherently flawed’

CNN anchor Piers Morgan, who is already the subject of one petition to deport him from the U.S. and another to keep him out of the U.K. over his push for gun control, is now saying the Holy Bible should be amended.
“Both the Bible and the Constitution were well intentioned but they are basically, inherently flawed. Hence, the need to amend it,” Morgan claimed. My point to you about gay rights, for example, it’s time for an amendment to the Bible.”
Warren, a strong opponent of same-sex marriage replied: “Not a chance. What I believe is flawed is human opinion, because it constantly changes. …
“I willingly admit that I base my worldview on the Bible, which I believe is true. My definition of truth is: If it’s new, it’s not true. If it was true 1,000 years ago, it will be true 1,000 years from today. Opinion changes, but truth doesn’t.”
“We’re going to agree to disagree on that,” said Morgan.
Warren told Morgan, “Piers, we need more of this kind of debate.”
Morgan said in closing, “The debate should always be respectful. It applies to politics, too. The moment it becomes disrespectful and discourteous and then rude and then poisonous, you never achieve anything.”
Ironically, Morgan was anything buy courteous to another guest he had on his show earlier this month.
While discussing gun control in the wake of the Newtown, Conn., school shooting with Larry Pratt, executive director of Gun Owners of America, Morgan personally attacked Pratt.
“The argument I keep hearing is, ‘Well if everybody else was armed, it wouldn’t happen.’ It’s a load of total hogwash,” Morgan told Pratt. “How many more kids have to die, before you guys say, ‘We want less guns, not more?’”
In the midst of a heated exchange, Morgan turned on Pratt and said, “You’re an unbelievably stupid man, aren’t you?”
Moments later he continued, “You don’t give a d— about the gun murder rate in America, do you? You don’t actually care.”
Video of the exchange between Morgan and Pratt can be seen below:
A petition on the White House’s “We the People” website looking to deport Morgan out of the U.S. has surpassed 83,000 signatures, far above the 25,000 needed to require a response from the White House.
The petition to deport Morgan reads, “British Citizen and CNN television host Piers Morgan is engaged in a hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution by targeting the Second Amendment. We demand that Mr. Morgan be deported immediately for his effort to undermine the Bill of Rights and for exploiting his position as a national network television host to stage attacks against the rights of American citizens.”
“Merry Christmas! Even to those who want me deported,” Morgan tweeted on Christmas Day.
There’s also a new counter-petition asking U.K. Home Secretary Theresa May to prevent Morgan from ever moving back to Britain.
“We got rid of him once and why should we have to suffer again. The Americans wanted him so they should put up with him. We washed our hands of him a long time ago,” the petition reads.
Before Morgan’s coming to CNN, BBC News reported the journalist was fired from his editorial job at the Daily Mirror for publishing fraudulent photographs in May 2004.
He has also been implicated in a media phone-hacking scandal in Britain.
