It’s the Year 2022, should we be Happy?

Commentary By:  Gordon King

At the beginning of each new year, I post about the “Happy New Year”, but not this year my friends, I just can’t do it!  I’m not going to sugar coat what is happening or what is soon coming, it is what it is.

Each new year is supposed to bring with it better things than the previous year, it is to give us hope for the future.  However, I don’t believe for one minute that 2022 is going to be better than 2021, nor was 2021 better than 2020, in fact it was exponentially worse, as I believe the year 2022 will be as well.

I believe that 2022 will bring with it continued darkness, continued pressures from the Global Elite, especially upon those that do not comply with their narrative of the Covid-19 “Plandemic”, of Climate Change, etc.

Those of this world, those under the sway of Satan, are stepping up their game, they are blinded to the truth, and they are caught up in their own lies, they are both deceiving and being deceived.

John 8:44

“You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.”

2 Timothy 3:13

 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.”

Satan knows that his time is short, therefore he is working harder than ever before.

We don’t really have anything to be happy about in this world, however, we do have much to be happy about in the kingdom of God!  We can rejoice in knowing that we are not of this world and that things for us are soon to become much better than we have ever imagined!  And we know that one day justice will prevail.

Proverbs 28:10

“Whoever causes the upright to go astray in an evil way,
He himself will fall into his own pit;
But the blameless will inherit good.”

Proverbs 28:12

When the righteous rejoice, there is great glory;
But when the wicked arise, men hide themselves.”

Proverbs 28:15-16

Like a roaring lion and a charging bear
Is a wicked ruler over poor people.

16 A ruler who lacks understanding is a great oppressor,
But he who hates covetousness will prolong his days.”

Proverbs 28:22

A man with an evil eye hastens after riches,
And does not consider that poverty will come upon him.”

Psalm 37

Do not fret because of evildoers,

Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
And wither as the green herb.

Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday.

Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;
Do not fret—it only causes harm.

For evildoers shall be cut off;
But those who wait on the Lord,
They shall inherit the earth.
10 For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more;
Indeed, you will look carefully for his place,
But it shall be no more.
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth,
And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12 The wicked plots against the just,
And gnashes at him with his teeth.
13 The Lord laughs at him,
For He sees that his day is coming.
14 The wicked have drawn the sword
And have bent their bow,
To cast down the poor and needy,
To slay those who are of upright conduct.
15 Their sword shall enter their own heart,
And their bows shall be broken.

16 A little that a righteous man has
Is better than the riches of many wicked.
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
But the Lord upholds the righteous.

18 The Lord knows the days of the upright,
And their inheritance shall be forever.
19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time,
And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20 But the wicked shall perish;
And the enemies of the Lord,
Like the splendor of the meadows, shall vanish.
Into smoke they shall vanish away.

21 The wicked borrows and does not repay,
But the righteous shows mercy and gives.
22 For those blessed by Him shall inherit the earth,
But those cursed by Him shall be cut off.

23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord,
And He delights in his way.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;
For the Lord upholds him with His hand.

25 I have been young, and now am old;
Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken,
Nor his descendants begging bread.
26 He is ever merciful, and lends;
And his descendants are blessed.

27 Depart from evil, and do good;
And dwell forevermore.
28 For the Lord loves justice,
And does not forsake His saints;
They are preserved forever,
But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.
29 The righteous shall inherit the land,
And dwell in it forever.

30 The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom,
And his tongue talks of justice.
31 The law of his God is in his heart;
None of his steps shall slide.

32 The wicked watches the righteous,
And seeks to slay him.
33 The Lord will not leave him in his hand,
Nor condemn him when he is judged.

34 Wait on the Lord,
And keep His way,
And He shall exalt you to inherit the land;
When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
35 I have seen the wicked in great power,
And spreading himself like a native green tree.
36 Yet he passed away, and behold, he was no more;
Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found.

37 Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright;
For the future of that man is peace.
38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together;
The future of the wicked shall be cut off.

39 But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord;
He is their strength in the time of trouble.
40 And the Lord shall help them and deliver them;
He shall deliver them from the wicked,
And save them,
Because they trust in Him.”

Our God is a God of justice, He shall not let the wicked go unpunished.

Isaiah 30:18

Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you;
And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
Blessed are all those who wait for Him.”

Proverbs 11:21

Though they join forces, the wicked will not go unpunished;
But the posterity of the righteous will be delivered.”

The wicked shall not endure forever, they shall perish and be gone forever.  But the righteous will live forever, they will inherit the kingdom of God!

1 Peter 3-4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,”

We shall one day be reunited with Christ and receive our glorious immortal bodies just as Christ.

1 John 3:2

“Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.”

2 Corinthians 3:18

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

1 Corinthians 15:51-53

Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”

We shall be changed, from corruptible to incorruptible, immortal just as Christ, raptured into heaven with Christ for eternity!  Changed from a flesh and blood body to an incorruptible spiritual body, inheriting the kingdom of God!

1 Corinthians 15:50

“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.”

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.”

This is the real hope my friends, not of this world nor what it has to offer, but of God and what He has to offer!  Satan tempts us with the things of this world just as he tempted Jesus Christ, but none of it is real and all of it is perishing!

It’s difficult to be happy about this world, but, we can be happy and rejoice in who and what we are and have in the Lord.  For everything in this world is perishing, but God and the things of God will live on for eternity, and that includes us if we are born-again!  Now that is something to be happy about!!!

Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior!  It’s the only way to true happiness!

God bless my friends!  Maranatha!
