Our Time is Short!

Commentary By:  Gordon King

Our time is so very short my friends, none of us are guaranteed any amount of time on this earth.  And even if we live a long life it’s not really very long at all.  All of us will one day physically die or be raptured into heaven, that’s it.

Just this year I lost both my mother and my sister, both within 3 months of each other.  Their lives ended on this earth, one a long life and the other a short one.  I’m still in shock, and it will take some time for me to sort this out, to come to grips with what has happened in such a short amount of time.

I trust in God and God alone.  I know that He has a plan for each and everyone of us.  We are here on this earth for a reason, and God has a purpose for our lives.

Most people on this earth don’t actually realize just how short life is, nor how valuable it is to God!  You can see it by the way most people act, the things that they do, and their very approach to life itself.  Many people take life for granted, they don’t understand just how precious life is, they carry on with life as if it is never ending, and in a way it is, just not physically here on earth.

All of us were created by God, we all have a spirit, and our spirits will live on forever.  The real question is where will it live on forever?  There are only two places for our spirits to go once we physically die, either heaven or hell.  We have the choice to make, will it be heaven or hell?

No one knows just when their last day on earth will be, unless of course they choose to end it themselves.  But this is not God’s plan, it’s not His desire that we end our own lives.  God gives life and God takes it away, it’s His decision to make.

We may not have a long life ahead of us, no one really knows for sure.  We must all make the most important decision of our life while we are still alive on earth, do we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior or reject Him, do we choose heaven or hell for eternity?

This may not be the most pleasant conversation to have but it’s the most important one in our lifetime!

Don’t put off what you may regret for eternity!  Make the decision now to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you may not have another day!  Today is the day of salvation!!!

I pray to the good Lord, my Father in heaven, that both my mother and my sister have made it into glory to meet Jesus Christ in heaven!  Amen

Accept Jesus Christ now as your Lord and Savior!

God bless my friends, Maranatha, and again I say, Maranatha!
