Commentary By: Gordon King
The world is in a mess to say the least! The times that we are living in are lawless, headed for destruction. People’s hearts are turning cold, being hardened towards the things of God, not knowing the truth from lies but instead turning to false teachings and false gods.
Man has said in his heart that there is no God, instead they worship the creation as their god. They promote saving the environment over saving the souls of people, worshiping the environment itself. They value the life of an animal over the life of a human being as they claim that we should love and value life while at the same time taking the lives of millions of unborn babies!
Increasing lawlessness is abounding in the streets, as many government officials tell us that all is well, and in fact ignore what is happening, calling it peaceful. While at the same time are calling actual peaceful protests by conservatives insurrection and terrorism!
Leftist values are being forced upon us at record speed, nothing like we have ever seen before, while conservatives are being labeled as racists and terrorists.
What is good is being turned into evil, and what is evil is being turned into good!
World leaders are seeking control, total control over the masses living on earth. They have a plan, a plan which they believe is better than God’s plan!
And this is where we are today, in a world gone absolutely mad! Nothing makes much sense anymore, it is a time of uncertainty, confusion, and fear! Who do you listen to, who do you believe, which way do you turn?
The media for the most part has been controlled by the Left, it is their propaganda machine. It is being used to control the masses, it’s a form of brainwashing. And once again for the most part people are eating it up!
As individuals are we the same? Do we also seek these things, do we support such things? Do we also believe that we know better than God does? Do we try to do things on our own, in our own way? Or do we seek God in all things? Do we try to do things His way or our way?
Man will seek to do things his way, to try and make things better on his own, without God.
“For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus.”
This has been the case ever since the fall of Adam and Eve. But is this the right way? Can man actually make things better without God?
Every time man tries to do things without God he messes them up! It never leads to good things, in fact it eventually leads to destruction. I know for a fact that in my own life if I try to do something without God then it always goes awry and the consequences of which I have suffered! But if I do things God’s way then it always leads to good things, it always works out. This is the same for all of us, and it’s either our way or God’s way, we have to decide which way we want to go, if we want it to work out in a good way or suffer the consequences of our own making.
God is the only one that can make things better, both in the world and in our own lives. That’s not to say that the world will not suffer because it will, because it is still doing things it’s own way, without God. But one day the Lord will come and make things right, He is the only one that can do it, one day He will fix this mess!
I admit that I have made a mess of my life, and I suffer the consequences for it. I’m not perfect and I still sin, we all do, and if we say that we don’t then we are liars, and that’s a sin in and of itself! But I also know that God is in control, and if I place my faith and trust in Him, if I seek His ways and not my own then He will make things work together for my good.
It’s not us that does good, but Him that works through us, for our own righteousnesses are as filthy rags to the Lord (Isaiah 64:6).
“for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure”
Placing our faith and trust in God will lead to good things, that doesn’t mean that there will not be trials and tribulations along the way, for there will be. However, in the end we shall be rewarded for it, and all things will work out one way or another.
None of us are perfect, we all stumble, and at times some of us fall, but we must get back up on our feet and seek the Lord. God is forgiving, He is merciful, and His grace abounds forever!
“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
God has mercy on believers, not giving us what we deserve, and giving us His grace, giving to us what we don’t deserve, we should always remember that!
I am so grateful to God that He has mercy upon me, and even more grateful that He gives me what I don’t deserve! That is what happens when you do it God’s way and not your own, He forgives and He gives.
Forgive us of our sins LORD God, have mercy upon us, we repent of our sins, of our wicked and evil ways, and we ask for Your forgiveness. Thank You God for having mercy upon us, and thank You for Your grace both of which we don’t deserve. You are all loving, all knowing, full of mercy and grace. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
God bless my friends! Maranatha!
