A Plea for Help from a Church in Africa! Our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Commentary By:  Gordon King

I have been alerted by a dear sister in Christ about a church in Kenya Africa that needs our help.  If you feel led by the Spirit to do so then so be it, they also need our prayers.

James 2:14-17

What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

Hebrews 13:16

“Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.”

Hebrews 6:10

“For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.”

We are told in scripture to help those in need, this is especially true for our brothers and sisters in Christ.  Pray about it, seek the Lord, and do what the Spirit leads you to do!

The following is from my dear sister:

“Dear brother, I want to share a video with you and your readers if possible, it is a plea for help from a dear brother in Christ from Kenya. I have come to know him well over the past few years and I have been praying about the situation he describes and believe this is the right thing to do in reaching out for support for the church. please pray for them and share the video with others if you can.”

  1. Thank you my dear brother for your support.

“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
    1 John 5:14-15, KJV

    God bless you

  2. Thanks for your comment Myrtle Esther!

    You are most welcome sister!

Not everyone will agree to help this church, some believe that it is nothing more then a scam. Personally I don’t know, he seems legitimate but I don’t know much about him or his church. I knew that if I posted this that there would be those saying that this was a scam and to stay away, that’s why I hesitated, but I felt in my heart that it was the right thing to do. We can help those that ask us but we don’t always know what they are actually doing with the money, nor do we know if they are legitimate, should that stop us from helping? I often struggle with this, however, I also believe that if we do what is righteous then God will sort things out.

    God bless! Maranatha! Gordon

  3. Since posting the video appeal last week, his Church has been blessed with offers of help/support for Bibles and instruments from other Churches and they have now obtained a keyboard much to the delight of the Pastor and the congregation.
I know there are unscrupulous men in Africa that scam people into releasing funds to them or their cause but he is not one of them, he is a legitimate a man of God, a true brother in Christ.
I have known him well for 4 years and I know he serves The Lord faithfully and without compromise, I do not have a vested interest in saying that, The Lord brought us together for a particular service at the first time of meeting him. I am British and live in the UK, this Pastor with his wife and 2 small children live in a small modest rented property near his church, he does not own any property.

Watch this video you will see and hear how the Lord has blessed them this week.
