God Loves You Dearly!

God is love, and God loves you! 

God loves you so much that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life!  That’s how much God loves you!

It is God’s will for no one to perish but for all to come to repentance.

2 Peter 3:9

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.“

It’s not merely enough to believe that God is who He says that He is, for even the demons believe and tremble, yet they are not saved!

James 2:19

“You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!“

Believing in Jesus Christ is not enough to save you, confessing your sins is not enough, being sorry for your sins is not enough.  A person must believe that Jesus Christ is God, they must then acknowledge their sins, be sorry for them, and turn away from them, then and only then can a person be born-again if they accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. 

The very act of believing includes repentance of our sins.  Repentance of our sins means to have a change of heart regarding our sins, that we don’t want to do them anymore, with a sincere heart.  This is the biblical act of believing, not the worlds definition of believing!

I fear that many who have accepted Jesus Christ have not truly done this, that they may have been sorry for sinning, but in fact did not repent of them.  This my friends is a tragedy!  So many people are even told that all they have to do is believe that Jesus Christ is God and they will be saved, but it goes deeper than that, and I believe that the true nature of what this means has been lost in translation, but even more specifically, scripture has not been studied enough by some people to understand these things.

Many things have been read into scripture that isn’t there, and many things from scripture have been taken the wrong way or out of context, this is very sad and can lead to destruction, eternal destruction!

God loves you!  God wants you to be born-again, to become His child, to be Christ-like.  This is God’s will for you, for everyone!  But God will not force Himself on anyone, unlike other religions, God has given us a free will to make our own decision.

Accept Jesus Christ now as your Lord and Savior!
