Loving God with a Broken Heart!

Commentary By:  Gordon King

Hello my friends, I tried to stay away but felt led to write a post.  I have been resting today, I have been feeling tired and mentally fatigued, but I feel so much better than I did last week, one hundred times better!  The excruciating pain is gone, with the exception of an occasional light headache now and then.  I feel so much better than I did last week that I feel as though I am back to normal, but I know that I am not, and if I try and over do it then it wouldn’t be a good thing.

God is so good, He is good in good times and in bad times, He is always good!  And when I am ill, when I am exhausted, He is with me, right beside me, walking with me, leading me through.  And I know that what has happened to me is a part of His will, for some reason He has allowed it to happen, it wasn’t for my death or He would have taken me home.  No, He has another purpose in mind, and I know that He will make this work together for my good!

We must remember to love the Lord our God with all of our heart, even if it’s broken!  It’s God who created the heart, and it’s God who can heal the heart.  All of us were born into this world with a broken heart, and the sin of the world has a way of breaking it down even more!  The first and greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all of your heart, your soul, and your mind!  Do you notice the first thing mentioned is the heart?!

Perhaps God broke my heart so that He could make it stronger.  It’s a proven fact that a broken bone heals stronger than before it was broken, perhaps that’s also true with the heart once God heals it!  If He didn’t break it He allowed it to be broken, and it was for a reason.

All of us should be learning and growing in the Lord, and through each experience that comes our way whether good or bad we should learn from it, we should grow closer to God!

Love the Lord, praise the Lord, give the Lord the honor, praise, and worship that He deserves!  God is good in all things at all times, and even though we can’t always see it there is a reason for everything!

I love God with all of my broken heart!  I love Him with all of my soul and mind!  It’s all because of Him, it’s all of what He has done and what He does, for all things were created by Him, for Him, and in Him all things are held together!

God bless my friends!  Maranatha!

Dear Gordon thank you for your update, I am praying as I promised and I know all shall be well. I too have had some serious Health problems in fact, twice diagnosed with breast cancer. I am still here! I knew the peace that surpasses all understanding through it all and I know that even though at the time It was a very painful experience the Lord turned it all to Good, My faith grew deeper during those times of trial in the valley so much more than on the sunny mountain top. Jesus is with us on the mountains and down in the valley’s and where can we go where He is not? NOWHERE! God bless you Gordon you have worked so hard but now you must use this time to rest and sit at Jesus feet for a full recuperation and refreshing spiritually and physically,
Listen to this song by Shane and Shane …Though you slay me I will praise you!

  4. Thanks so much Annime5!

God is good, He is always good! I don’t know exactly how I would feel if I didn’t have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, but I can’t imagine that it would be good. While I was in the hospital I had no fear of death, no fear of dying, just a peace that everything would be fine. Thank you for your prayers sister! God bless! Maranatha!

  6. Thank you Christine!

Thanks for all of your prayers sister, and I am sorry to hear of your suffering as well, I pray the good Lord comforts and heals you!

I know that the Lord uses these times in our lives to bring us closer to Him and give us wisdom and understanding, I know that these things will accomplish much more than we know, much more than we can see with our eyes. And that song (Though you slay me) is so very similar to what I wrote, and to what I am going through as well. God broke my heart for a reason, yet all of the reasons I do not yet know, and His praise shall continually be on my lips!

    God bless you Christine! Maranatha!

  7. The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me:
thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever:
forsake not the works of thine own hands.
    Psalm 138:8 – KJV

I am keeping you in my prayers.

    your Sister in Christ
