Commentary By: Gordon King
May the good Lord pour out His Spirit upon you and your families with truth, comfort, peace and joy on this Christmas day! And may He give you the wisdom, clarity, and understanding of His ways and His words.
God was born into the world on this day that we celebrate His birth, the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Little Lord Jesus born in a manger, not in a castle or in any sort of luxury. He humbled Himself before us, born among us, not a birth of intimidation, but rather one of humility and meekness.
The Lord came to us not in order to condemn us but to save us! He came as a sacrifice in our place. He was born of a virgin, both fully man and fully God, He died on a cross and was resurrected from the dead, He took the sins of the world upon Himself becoming our sin in order that we might have eternal life with Him, He paid the price for our sin so that we wouldn’t have to! This is our greatest gift of all!!! We must remember what Christmas is really all about, we must give honor, glory, thanks, praise and worship to the One who deserves it all, Jesus Christ!
Jesus came the first time mild and humble, but He will come again! And when He does He will come riding in on a white horse, coming to rule with a rod of iron! He came the first time as a humble servant, but He will come again as the King of kings and the Lord of lords in all of His power and glory!
Have a wonderful Christmas day my friends! God bless! Maranatha!
