Jerusalem, the Capital City of Israel is God’s Will!

Commentary By:  Gordon King

America has officially moved its embassy to Jerusalem, the capital city of the nation of Israel!  This is not by chance nor is it a coincidence that the official opening of the embassy was on May 14th, the same day that Israel was reborn as a nation, 70 years after Israel became a nation.  This is a historic biblical day, a prophetic day, a day ushered in by the hand of God Almighty!  Seventy years ago on May 14th President Harry Truman declared Israel as a nation, the first world leader to do so, seventy years later President Donald Trump has opened the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem, coincidence?  I don’t think so!

There are those who disagree with these statements, those who believe that it is not God’s will, that it will only bring anger and bloodshed.  However, we must remember that the persecution of the Jews is nothing new, and in fact has been going on for thousands of years.

There are now uprisings in the Islamic community, uprisings against Israel, forces seeking her destruction.  The fact is that they will use any reason to attack Israel, this is only one more reason.  The fact that Israel and the Jews even exist is enough reason for these people to hate them, to attack them, and to attempt to annihilate them, nothing more than that.

But the truth remains the truth and always shall, regardless of who believes it or not.  The city of Jerusalem Israel is God’s chosen city, it is the capital of Israel, and God has written His name upon it!  We as a people must recognize His city for what it is, we must not be in fear of retaliation because we tell the truth and stand for the truth.

If we continued to keep our U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv would that not be telling and supporting a lie?  How would keeping our embassy in Tel Aviv have accomplished anything good, do you really believe that the Muslims seeking to destroy Israel and America would suddenly become peaceful towards us if we did?  Do you think that if we changed our minds and decided not to move our embassy to Jerusalem that they would suddenly become our friends and allies?  That for some unknown reason they would stop hating the Jews and America, that they would stop their attacks and threats?  No, of course they wouldn’t.

Don’t believe for one minute that these Muslims who hate the Jews and America will all of the sudden stop hating us, that they will stop attacking and killing.  The bible tells us different, it says that they will in fact attack Israel!  We can’t stop it, God says that it will happen and it will.

Do we stand for what is right in the face of adversity?  Or do we cower down because we fear those who hate us?  Do we support what is holy and right or do we do as the world does so that we don’t stir things up?

The world is in darkness, it does not see what God sees nor can it, it is deceived into believing many lies, and it is led down the path of destruction!  We must be the light of the world, we are the light of the world, and as such we must shine in the darkness, sometimes, many times, that means doing things which the world abhors.

Many will say that Jerusalem is just another city, that Israel is just another nation, so what does it really matter where our embassy is located, as long as it doesn’t cause people to erupt in violence?  But I say that it does matter, that every nation has the right to say where their capital is, to say what city is the head of their nation, just as we do in America, England, France, Spain, Iran, Turkey, or China, we all have that right, all nations.

Israel is not just a nation, it is God’s chosen nation, Jerusalem is not any city, it is God’s city, the Jews are not any people they are God’s chosen people.  God, the creator and ruler of the universe, the one who created it all and sustains it all, He deserves the glory, He deserves for Jerusalem to be called the eternal capital of Israel for His chosen people.  It may not matter to you but it matters to God!  As for me I will side with God no matter what anyone else says or thinks.

God bless my friends!  Maranatha!
