Happy Veteran’s Day Weekend! Let us give Thanks!

Garapan, Saipan (June 28, 2005)  Service members stand at attention as part of a joint-service color guard that was representing the U.S. military during a historic visit by the royal family of Japan. Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko made their first-ever trip to commemorate a World War II battle. The royal couple took time on Saipan to visit sites and monuments that remember Japanese, island civilian and American fallen service members in order to affirm the friendship that has grown between Japan and the United States. Happy Veteran’s Day weekend everyone, and especially to those who served in the U.S. armed forces!

The bible tells us that there is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for his friends!

John 15:13

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

Brave men and women put their own lives on the line to protect the lives of others, the lives of people they have never even met before.  Many of these people never made it home, while others came home wounded and injured, and many others came home without a scratch, yet they all put their lives ahead of others, they risked it all for the safety and protection of American citizens and for America herself!

I give thanks and honor to the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces!  I truly appreciate what they have done, what they have risked and given up so that we as Americans can enjoy the freedoms and liberties that we do today!  Without their sacrifice we would not be able to do all of the things that we do, we would not have the freedom to protest, the right to speak freely, or the right to vote!

It is our military and it’s presence that gives us peace at home, it gives us many opportunities as civilians to live a life of our own choosing, whether or not it’s the right choice it gives us the right to choose!

Thank you all who have served in the United States Armed Forces!  Thank you for your sacrifice, for your time served, for your willingness to give of yourselves, for time away from your families.  And thank you families of these brave souls who risked their lives, thank you for your support, thank you for what you have sacrificed as well!

We must support our veterans, we must help them in their time of need, we must show them the love that they showed us when they sacrificed it all in order to give us a better life!  For without them just where would we be today?!

Once again, Thank You Veterans!  May God bless you, provide for you, and shelter you under His mighty wings!

Thank you God for giving us men and women who are willing to sacrifice their own lives for their friends and for people they do not even know!

God bless my friends!  Maranatha!

  1. NFL sicken me. Kneeling down disrespecting to US Armed Forces and Americans. My grandfather, great Uncle, my father, and brother served in the US Military. I’m proud of my nation and proud begin an American. Is that a crime?

  2. Thanks for your comment Jim!

I agree, it is totally disrespectful to those who served in the U.S. Armed Forces, myself included!

    God bless! Maranatha!
