Saved by the Blood of God!

Commentary By:  Gordon King

We live in a world full of darkness, a world in which evil and violence are increasing, one in which there is a penalty for the darkness and that is death.  The penalty for sin is death!

Romans 6:23

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

We all get to choose what our payment will be, either death or eternal life!

God’s plan from the beginning was to save us from death, to reconcile us from the darkness, to have mercy and grace upon us.  He loves us all and His will is for no one to perish but that all should repent and be saved!

2 Peter 3:9

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”

Those of us who have chosen to repent of our sins and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior have become God’s chosen people.

1 Peter 2:9-10

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.”

We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation!  We have come out of the darkness and into His marvelous light.  The people of God, by the mercy of God!

It is only by the grace of God that we have eternal life, only by the sacrifice of our Lord on the cross that we have been forgiven of all of our sins, by the blood of God!

1 Peter 2:22-24

““Who committed no sin,
Nor was deceit found in His mouth”

23 who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; 24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”

We have been saved and washed clean by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ!

Ephesians 1:7

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.”

Revelation 5:9-10

‘And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. “You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth.” ‘

Romans 5:9

“Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.”

The blood of God saved us, it justified us, it cleanses us from all unrighteousness!  There is no other way.  He is the way out of the darkness, the way to eternal life, by the blood of Jesus we are saved!

Accept Jesus Christ now as your Lord and Savior!  He loves you!

God bless my friends!  Maranatha!

I agree, and also pray that many shall see the light and be saved by the blood of Jesus Christ!

    God bless! Maranatha!

  3. God can not die. He is an eternal Spirit, having no bones, nor flesh and blood …. So how can man be saved by blood of the Most High God? It looks like you are taking the Son of God as your god, but he is the Way to God who put his will aside to do the will of his heavenly Father and to offer himself as a ransom for all, as a Lamb of God, giving his life.

  4. Thanks for your comment Belgian Biblestudents!

Yes, I am taking Jesus Christ as my God! Jesus Christ, my Father in heaven, and the Holy Spirit, 3 in 1, a Trinity, all separate and distinct yet all one God, I worship them all as God. Jesus Christ came into this world as both God and man, fully God yet fully man, sacrificing Himself upon the cross to cleanse us of our sins and give us eternal life! Who else could have done that but God? Who else could have been a perfect sacrifice but God? If Jesus were not God then He would not have been perfect, blameless, without sin.

    John 1:18
“No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.”

The bible tells us that Jesus Christ, the Son of God is in fact God!

    God bless! Maranatha!
