2017 Signs, Warnings from God!

As we move quickly into the last half of 2017 we see many signs that something is up, no pun intended, but it would seem that there are many things happening which could be taken as mere coincidence or perhaps much more than that!

Derision and division in the United States of America hasn’t slowed down since the inauguration of President Trump, in fact it has gotten much worse.  Deadly attacks not only in America but around the world are not easing up but becoming more frequent it seems.  Signs in the heavens such as the American solar eclipse on August 21 and the Revelation 12 signs are merely one month apart from each other, significant?  We shall see.

I for one take all of these as signs from the good Lord, signs of warning, signs of bible prophecy, signs that tell us God is who He says that He is!

As people living in this world, we can either take heed or we can just ignore these signs as nothing more than life as we know it, nothing more than this is just the way the world is, perhaps even some coincidences, but not signs of God, not signs of things to come.

Bible prophecy is given to us so that we can know that God is who He says that He is, so that we may believe and increase our faith in Him!  These are signs, they are in fact miracles from God.  The veracity of the bible is made known by these signs, as is God Himself.

The bible is full of signs, signs in the heavens and signs on earth.  Signs of the sun standing still, of the moon turning blood-red, of planets aligning, of a burning bush, of plagues upon nations, of fire from the sky, of the parting of seas, and of the rebirth of the nation of Israel, all having significance to scripture and God Himself.

So the question is, do you ignore the signs or do you take the signs as a warning, do you brush them off as just ordinary life events, or do you sit up and take notice, do you listen to what the Lord is saying?

God is warning all nations, all people, that the time is near, that His return is near, to repent of your sins and accept Him as your God!  Just as He did with the nation of Egypt, cursing them with plagues for the hardening of their hearts, but also as He did with Nineveh, sparing them from destruction for their repentance, so too is He warning us of our destruction if we do not repent and turn to Him, to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

The good Lord is patient, desiring that no one should perish, but He will not wait forever!  He has knowledge of all things and He also has prescribed times.  The signs that we see are markers of His times, set in the heavens and on earth, so that we would know just who He is and that the time of His second coming is at hand.  While no one knows the day or the hour we will know the season, if we are prepared!

I cannot say that the rapture of the church will be this year, yet it is exciting to think about!  Nor can I say what year the second coming of Jesus Christ will be.  However, I can say that they are both near, that we are living in that season, that the signs which the bible talks about preceding these events are at hand!

Turn from your sin and seek God, seek Jesus Christ as your Lord and your Savior.  Listen to what God is saying, watch for the signs given to us by Him, ask Him to give you clarity, wisdom, and understanding.  Keep God as the center of your life, focus on God and not on the things of this world.  We can know the times because He has given us signs, if we merely watch and pay attention.

Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior!
