Commentary By: Gordon King
Submission by immersion, indoctrination by deception, opinions based upon political correctness, what do all of these have in common? They all are based upon lies, upon being led astray, and upon the twisting of the truth!
If the world isn’t hard enough to live in, we are being fed deceptions, world views which seek our destruction. If we are not careful then we can fall victim to these lies, we can alter our life, and we can alter our final destiny.
None of us are good, no, not one! It is not within ourselves to be good, that is given to us only by God Almighty. He is the one who makes us good, nothing of our own doing. By the same token, all of us can be led astray, we can be so immersed in lies and untruths that we begin to see things differently, we begin to alter the course of our life!
The world has its own set of morals and standards, and God has His. It is up to each and every one of us to decide who we will follow. We are being conditioned by the world to believe twisted truths, lies, and deceptions. The world is being brainwashed into believing many things which are untrue.
Satan is the ruler of this world, he leads astray by lies and deceptions, he leads the world into destruction!
“You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.”
The secular world is busy indoctrinating people into following the paths which lead to destruction, paths which will only do us harm. It seeks to lead us away from the truth, away from Jesus Christ!
We serve one of two masters, either God Almighty or Satan, that’s it folks, no in-between, no alternates.
Even though this is the case, we can still wander, we can still disobey the Lord, and we can alter our lives here on earth and in heaven. We can store up for ourselves treasures in heaven, or we can pile up wood, hay, and stubble to be burned up forever.
We all have choices to make, decisions which will guide our path along the way, and we must choose to do it our way or do it God’s way!
We can choose to follow the world thereby degrading our testimony for Christ, hindering the power that He has given us to overcome. Or we can choose to follow Christ, to follow His ways, to perform God’s will and give Him the glory!
God gives us everything that we need to perform His will, however, we can do things to undermine His plan, things which in turn will alter the outcome of our life. It is His will for us to follow and obey Him, for us to listen to His voice, to use what He has given us in order to perform His will. He knows what is best for us, and His plan is for our good! It is Satan who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy God’s will, and he can do it if we allow him to.
Our focus must always be on God, on His ways, on His will, on the spiritual and heaven above. When we wander then we find ourselves in trouble, when we disobey God then we find ourselves in a mess. This is why it is so important to stay in God’s word, to listen to what God tells us, and to follow Him each and every day. It doesn’t take much to stray away, and it’s so very easy to follow the world, yet it is so vitally important to remain true and faithful to the Lord!
It is when we obey God, when we follow Him and His ways that He finds favor with us. It is at these times when He is well pleased. I don’t know about you, but I would much rather please God then man! What can man do for me that God cannot, on the other hand what can God do for me that man cannot?!
I am not perfect, never claimed to be, I am still learning and growing as we all should be. But, I do know what I know, and I believe the truth! I make mistakes just like every one else, yet with God’s help I am learning from my errors. It is He who is molding me into a righteous man, He who prunes away what does not bear fruit.
Take care that you do not fall victim to the ways of the world. Take heed to the word of God, follow in His footsteps and know that He is with you always, even to the end of the world!
God bless my friends! Maranatha!
