Residents of Barking say one suspect connected to deadly car-ramming and stabbing attack shot during fleeing attempt

(SOURCE)    British counterterrorism police said Sunday they had arrested 12 people in Barking, in east London, in connection with the van and knife attack at London Bridge that left seven people dead a day earlier.

“Searches of a number of addresses in Barking are continuing,” they said in a statement.

Footage from Sky News and social media showed a police cordon around an apartment building in Barking, an east London suburb.

Local residents said one of the suspects attempted to flee, and was shot by arresting officers.

British authorities have said officers shot dead all three attackers in Saturday’s night’s attack, but that the investigation was continuing.

At least seven people were killed Saturday night after a van veered off the road and barreled into pedestrians on busy London Bridge. Three men fled the van with large knives and attacked people at bars and restaurants in nearby Borough Market, police and witnesses said.

The attack unfolded quickly, and police said officers had shot and killed the three attackers within eight minutes.

Emergency officials said 48 people were treated at London hospitals and a number of others suffered less serious injuries.

Britain was already on edge after a suicide bombing two weeks ago at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, in northwest England, that killed 22 people and injured dozens of others. Grande and other stars are scheduled to perform a benefit concert for victims Sunday night.

The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the Manchester bombing, but there has not yet been a claim of responsibility for Saturday’s attack.

Islamic Terrorism will be the new normal as long as Europeans are not willing to fight it. This is a one-sided war. The jihadists know they are at war, fighting from a position of relative weakness, trough attrition and terrorism… But the Christian West, Europe in particular, is unwilling to acknowledge the state of war.

My last few books (End Times and 2019, Antichrist 2016-2019) emphasize that Christians generally do not want to see that Islam matches the false religion of end times Bible prophecy that wants to persecute Christians and Jews, rule from Jerusalem, behead enemies…

I think this reluctance to fight or even acknowledge the Islamic threat is what Nostradamus was describing centuries ago when his prophecies warned that “negligence” and “neglect” would leave Western Europe open to an Islamic Invasion.
