Commentary By: Gordon King
Life goes by so fast, and before we know it we wonder just where the time has gone. Step back for a moment and reflect upon what it is that really matters in this life.
We work hard for our money, we struggle with daily chores and tasks, and often times we may forget about what is really important. Let us not neglect the relationships in our life which matter to us. Let us spend the time building our relationships and creating bonds which will last forever in eternity.
And the most important relationship that we could ever have is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Let us not neglect the relationship we have with the Lord, nor forsake the bond we have with God which will also last for eternity.
As time goes by we either learn and grow or we remain stagnant. We we either grow in our relationships or they wither. What else is more important in this life?
And as we shine the light into the darkness we can make a difference to those lost in the dark, we can give them direction, guidance, and hope for the future. We can share with them the love of God and His gift of salvation!
It really doesn’t matter how much money we make, how many things we can accumulate before we die, for none of us will take a penny with us! We came into this world naked and penniless, we shall leave the same way.
What we have now should be shared with those in need, what we do now should be towards furthering God’s kingdom, towards performing His will on earth as it is in heaven!
And whatever situation that we find ourselves in, if we are children of the Most High God of the universe, then it will all work out for our good! God has a purpose for each and every one of us, it is His will, and it will all work out. Even if we suffer in this life, it is for our good, and even though we may not see it, God will make it so, He has a reason.
Let us not forget, God is with us forever, He will never leave us nor forsake us, He will make all things work together for the good of those who love Him, we are precious to Him!
Love the lost, pray for the sick, comfort the hurting, feed the hungry, and be at peace with all men if possible. This is the will of God!
God bless my friends! Maranatha!
