Spiritual Birth Pangs! A Sign of the Times!

Commentary By:  Gordon King

I am not the only believer being attacked by the enemy, not the first, not the last.  I am also not the only believer feeling an increase in demonic attacks, they are happening all over the world my friends, increased attacks with increased intensity, as in birth pangs.

I pray the good Lord protects those under demonic attacks, that He places a shield of protection around them.  I pray the blood of Jesus over them, and I bind all demonic spirits from attacking them.  In Jesus name.  Amen.

Jesus warned us of birth pangs as signs of the end times, and these spiritual attacks are definitely a part of it!

This is why we now see an increase in demonic activity in the world, it isn’t just happening by chance, just as the universe did not just form by chance.

The end times shall be marked by an increase in evil and ungodliness, an increase in spiritual darkness, just as in the days of Noah!

When a believer experiences increased demonic attacks it is because he or she is seeking God and the things of God, seeking to perform His will on earth.  We are not attacked because we are living like the world, not because we are conforming to the ways of the world, but because we are living for God!

Satan knows that his time is short, and he also knows that the beginning of the Tribulation period is getting very close.  Therefore he must prepare the world to accept the Antichrist, to follow his lead.  He will attempt to subdue any and all forms of righteousness and holiness, attempting to turn off the light in order to make way for the darkness.

This is why we see an increase in evil and an increase in demonic attacks.  This is how close we are to the beginning of the Tribulation period.  We were warned that this would happen, we were foretold that it would happen before it actually happens.

And even though we may be experiencing spiritual attacks, we must look at the whole picture.  We must see where all of this fits into bible prophecy.

The end times, the last days will be as it was during the time of Noah and the Great Flood.  People were eating, drinking, and marrying, living their lives as usual, just as they are now.  The times were very dark, evil abounded, and their were only eight people found worthy to be saved.   The people of that time did not listen to what Noah had to say, they continued on with their way of life and refused to turn from their sin.

Isn’t that how we see life on earth now?  Don’t most people live their lives as they always have, refusing to believe what God is telling them?  Doesn’t evil abound?

In the last days perilous times shall come according to the apostle Paul.

2 Timothy 3

“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!”

The warning signs are here all around us, do we see them?  The birth pangs are increasing in both frequency and intensity, do we feel them?  If we read and study scripture, if we follow the Lord and His ways, then we should be aware of the times as well.

This is a spiritual war, and as followers of Christ we now find ourselves in the middle of it.  As the Lord’s soldiers we must put on the armor of God and fight the good fight, continuing on and persevering towards our goal.

Take heart in knowing that these spiritual attacks are a sign of the times, a sign of the closeness of Christ’s return for His bride.  And if all of these things are increasing, and they are, then just how close are we?

Have faith in God, knowing that He is our provider, our protector, and our Father, only wanting the best for us!

God bless my friends!  Maranatha!

Thank you Gordon. The birth pangs are intensifying. I find myself actually wanting something major to happen that will jolt the peoples of the world wide awake so that many more people will seek God in earnest again because so very many are just as in the days of Noah getting on with life, enjoying the good things of life, ignoring what is happening in the world that doesn’t affect them directly and are kept in a false sense of security, blinded by the enemy to what is really going on. I think it will take something big to shock them awake to just how vulnerable they are and know how much they need the Eternal security that Jesus alone gives to all who trust in Him.

I know just how you feel, I often feel the same way. Yet even if it does happen just how many will seek God?

However, there is one major event which after it happens I believe that many will turn to Christ, the rapture of the church! Many people who believe that they are Christians, of those who go to church and read the bible who are not actually saved, I believe that many of these people will come to the Lord after the rapture of the church. As for the many more who are not believers, I’m not really sure what they will do. Perhaps some will come to God, however I believe that many more will believe a lie or even lies about what happened, I hope and pray that I am wrong.

And then there is the thought of Christians who have fallen away from the faith, such as the prodigal son, perhaps a major event of some sort would bring them back to God! I believe that if a person is truly saved then he or she is always saved, sealed until the day of redemption. And I believe that there are many believers that have fallen away and are living in sin, grieving the heart of God yet born again.

Yes, I think the tribulation period will be what turns all the hearts that can be turned back to God or to Him in the first place. I think that is why it is important that Blogs like yours and other Christian ministries that teach on the Rapture are around in these times and hopefully won’t all be taken down immediately after The Rapture occurs. I hope I am worthy to escape the coming wrath of God, but I did have a dream recently that said I was on St Albans Road, I didn’t know what that meant so looked it up and St Albans apparently was the first Christian Martyr? Am I to be Martyred then? Am I not going in the Rapture? this has caused me some concern but I am submitted to Him no matter what but I did so hope that I would go in the Rapture not necessarily to escape the tribulation coming on the world but because I am so eager to be with The Lord . I don’t know everything, we don’t know the timings etc so I am trying to keep my eyes firmly on The Lord and trust in His care for me no matter what I am called to endure and overcome until I can be with Him. His strength is sufficient !

Know one really knows just what will happen at the beginning of the Tribulation period after the rapture of the church. Perhaps Christian sites will remain on the internet for a while, or they may even be taken down before that time.

I do believe that you will be in the rapture. True believers in Jesus Christ will escape the wrath of God, we are not destined for wrath, but for salvation through Jesus Christ. We can take comfort in knowing that we will be raptured before God’s wrath upon the world. The Tribulation period is not for us the church, it is a time of Jacob’s trouble, a time for the Jews, and a time for the wrath of God upon the wicked. It is a seven year period, not a three and a half year period as some people teach, that is one reason I believe in a pre-tribulation rapture. The Tribulation period begins when the Antichrist confirms a covenant with the Jews, this will not be a good time.

      God bless! Maranatha!
