Sorry folks for the lapse in posting for a few days, I do my best to write and post daily, but at times I am held back in performing God’s will.
I have been struck with an illness that causes me to be debilitated at times. I have what is called “Scleritis” , a very painful condition which affects the eyes. One of my eyes is recurrently (every two to three years) effected by this illness which attacks the white tissue of the eye called the sclera. It becomes very red and very painful. Just turning my eyes produces severe pain, as does reading and light. It causes migraine headaches and makes me tired and sluggish. Fortunately, over the past decade since I was first afflicted with Scleritis, each attack has only lasted for two to three weeks, yet it is recurring.
Scleritis can be caused by an auto-immune disease which attacks a persons own body. However, eye doctors have been unable to tell me what disease it could be, as they themselves do not know, or if in fact mine is caused by an auto-immune disease.
Scleritis can be very dangerous, as it can in severe cases cause blindness and even the loss of the eye. An underlying auto-immune disorder causing the Scleritis can even be fatal.
The only treatment for Scleritis is to ease the pain and inflammation in the eye, by the use of steroid drops, in some cases steroid injections, and even steroids by mouth. Currently I am using topical steroid drops, which does help to alleviate some of the pain and inflammation for a very short time, as well as taking NSAIDS such as Ibuprofen several times a day. Another thing which seems to help is to rest the eye by not reading, not looking at things close up, such as a computer monitor. Using the computer only inflames the tissue and causes greater headaches!
I am telling you all of this so that you will understand if I do not write on a daily basis, but also asking for your prayers of healing. There is great power in prayer, and when God’s people come together in prayer then God can perform miraculous works!
I love God with all of my heart, probably not as much as I should, but I am working on that! I ask the good Lord to show me how to love Him more, to have a heart only for Him. I trust in the Lord, I trust in His promises to us, and I know that He is with me in all things!
Even though we suffer in this life with temporary light afflictions (as stated by the apostle Paul), we should know that one day soon we will be with Him in Paradise! That all we suffer through now is only temporary, and that God will make all things right, as they should be.
And as I journey on through this life with all of its downfalls, I seek God in all things, and I give Him thanks and glory in all things! God is good, and He seeks only the best for us. Amen.
I try to not focus my attentions on my afflictions, although at times it’s very difficult not to do, but instead focus on my Savior in heaven, Jesus Christ!
Let us all pray for one another, encourage one another, and continue to seek God Almighty with all of our heart!

The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry. (Psalm 34:15)
God knows in great detail the difficulties caused by this affliction. He understands the pain and sorrow acquainted with suffering and loss. He understands because He is all knowing. Furthermore, Jesus endured suffering and experienced pain—even the pain of feeling abandoned . And because God is with you always, He knows that you are hurting. He sees your pain, and hears the cries of your heart. You are not alone in your suffering; He is there for you.
God cares very deeply about you, and is attentive to every detail of your life—even those things that burden your heart. cast “all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.” God Almighty cares about you. His love for you is never shaken. “‘For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, but My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, and My covenant of peace will not be shaken,’ says the Lord who has compassion on you” No matter how bad things may seem, God is in control. Nothing happens without His knowledge. “Not one sparrow can fall without your Father knowing it. … So don’t worry! You are more valuable to Him than many sparrows.” If God’s eye is on the sparrow, He’s most certainly watching you. In the midst of affliction and uncertainty, His hand is there to guide you; His strength is there to support you. You are never out of His reach.
Our Almighty Great Creator God and Father, Jehovah Jirah our “God who healeth” Father I intercede on behalf of my brother Gordon. Please Lord cause Gordon’s eye to clear from this Scleritis condition, bring complete and full healing, cause Gordon’s eye to function in the perfect condition which You created his eye to function. Humbly and expectantly asking by faith for healing to be for a witness of Your great love and mercy so Gordon can serve unhindered in the work which You have called him to. So let it be done in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus.

Hello Gordon. So sorry to hear of your eye troubles. I will pray for you. I have been challenging this past month with a physical ailment as well. I somehow injured/sprained what is appearing to be a pulled hamstring on my right leg. US negative for clot and bakers cyst. I see a new provider in 2 weeks and will follow up with her. The leg is showing improveming and I am able to work but the pain Ebba and flows and is wearing on my flesh. Makes me crabby. Thinking of you and praying. Our God reigns. 🦁
I pray for your healing and also for you to have understanding about this affliction Gordon! I too have an affliction caused by auto immune attacks that affect certain parts of the body with inflammation. I pray for my healing but also for the healing of the whole body of Christ so that all parts are fitted together and working in perfect harmony and balance. I think my afflictions have helped me to see what the Lord is saying to me, for example I have difficulty standing still, I can walk but if I stand still I tremble, I know I sometimes have difficulty standing in The Lord’ righteousness when I am attacked so I have been praying for that but also for the whole Body of Christ that it’s feeble knees will be strengthened so it will be able to stand in these difficult times and will have feet like hinds feet to stand on the high places .If it is an affliction from The Lord It is specially chosen for you as it was for Paul but do pray get others to pray and anointing of oil so you may healed.

How did your light treatments go? Have you had any relief from the pain? I have been praying for you as well my friend!
I am off to see the doctor this morning, as the pain is becoming worse. Of course I know there is nothing he can do except prescribe me more steriod drops. I know that God is the true healer, and it is by Him that I will be healed according to His perfect will!

I am sorry to hear of your physical ailments as well my friend. You are in my prayers for complete healing of your leg! May our Lord Jesus lay His healing hands upon you and make all things new again!
I am off to the doctor today, he will most likely prescribe steroid eye drops and perhaps a stronger pain medication so that I can sleep at night!

My eye did clear up from the last Scleritis flareup, however, now it is flaring up again, it usually only happens once every couple of years.
