Whom do You Serve?

Walking with God copy

Commentary By:  Gordon King

What’s in your heart?  What do you believe to be the truth, what do you act upon?  These are questions we should all be asking ourselves, questions which will govern our lives and our eternity!

It’s not enough to confess something with the lips, but to actually believe what you confess.  It’s not enough to say that you have faith without acting upon it.  Even the demons believe and they tremble!

Believe in God, know God, and love God!  These are the main tenets of Christianity.  It’s not merely enough to know who God is, but to believe with the heart, to repent of your sins, and to accept Him as you Lord and Savior.  Loving God means loving people, loving God means being kind to people, being forgiving and having grace.

I know of many people who say that they believe in God, but are they saved?!  Do they follow the teachings of Christ, do they allow God to live in them and through them?

Many people say that they are good people, that they go to church and they do good works, yet none of these things will save them.  Our good works are as filthy rags in the eyes of the Lord and our heart is wicked and evil!  It is not until one is saved or born again that He washes us clean and gives us a new heart, then and only then are our works found good in the eyes of God Almighty!

Focus on God, place your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, know Him and love Him, allow Him to work through you at all times.  We worship one of two, either Satan or Jesus Christ, no in-betweens, no alternatives!

You may say that you do not believe in God, yet He still exists, you may say that you neither worship Satan or God, but if you do not worship God then you in fact worship Satan!  If God does not rule your world, then Satan does.  There is no physical life on this planet that is not ruled by one of the two, you cannot rule your own life, that’s just the way it is!

Even believers can be deceived, even the elect can stray and follow the doctrines of demons.  Watch your heart, listen to the Holy Spirit within, and know who you serve.  Do not allow Satan to infiltrate your mind with lies and unholy thoughts and beliefs.  Read the word of God and know the truth, walk with God!

God bless my friends!  Maranatha!
