Commentary By: Gordon King
The sanctity of life, the love of God, and God’s grace given to us through the death of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, all things which are holy, all righteous and pure in the eyes of God Almighty! And isn’t it so that we should share God’s love with the world, that we should show the world just how loving and forgiving God really is?
The truth is that although God is loving, forgiving, patient, and kind, He is also a God of judgment and wrath! Should we not also share with the world about God’s judgment and wrath upon the wicked?
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,“
God is perfect in all of His ways, perfect love, perfect forgiveness, perfect mercy, but also perfect judgment and wrath, perfect righteous anger. God is perfect in all of His ways, and the word of God is perfect in all of its’ ways, just as God is perfect. Jesus Christ is perfect, He is the Word of God! And if God is perfect, then shouldn’t we be sharing the perfection of God with the world, all of it?
Sure, it’s really nice to share with the world just how much God loves them, that He has a plan for their salvation, but this is only part of the story, and the story is perfect! If we neglect to tell the whole story then are we not withholding God’s love and perfection from the world? Just because we may not understand it does not mean that we should ignore it!
The truth is that God will come to judge the world, He will bring down His mighty wrath upon the wicked, upon those who are in rebellion against Him! He will condemn those not repenting of their sins and accepting His Son Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior! He will send them to eternal hell, forever! How is that for the truth?!
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.“
Don’t like it? Too bad, it’s the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God!
Let us not neglect to tell the world about God’s righteous anger, about God’s judgment and His wrath. Let us not sugar coat the truth and neglect to tell the whole truth.
If you were scheduled to fly in an airplane and that plane had terrorists on board, wouldn’t you want to know about it before hand? If you were driving down the interstate at 70 miles per hour and the bridge was collapsed just 5 miles ahead, wouldn’t you also want to know about that?! By the same token, if you are not saved and headed for eternal hell and damnation, wouldn’t you want to know about it before hand?
The world is full of lies and deceptions, much of Christianity in the church today has been watered down and sugar-coated to sound so sweet, yet the whole truth is not being told! We often hear messages in the church such as feel good and prosper, how to be a better you and have a better life, not that there is anything wrong with that, but should we neglect the fact that God is coming to judge the world? That we are living in the end times, the last days, and that the Tribulation period is about to begin?! That the God of the universe is about to judge the world and it’s inhabitants and bring down great wrath?
Many believers just don’t want to hear about the wrath of God, they don’t want to hear about God’s judgment upon the world, yet it’s the truth. God has given us His word so that we would know and not be ignorant.
If we study scripture and bible prophecy then we know what is headed our way, we know of the signs to watch for which will signal the closeness of Christ’s return to earth, the beginning of the Tribulation period, and the Wrath of God Almighty! And guess what my friends, the signs are here now and getting more frequent and intense!
How much time do we have left before the beginning of the Tribulation period? I don’t know for sure, but the way things are headed in this world I don’t believe that it could possibly be too much longer.
Share God’s love with the world, but share the whole truth, tell them about the coming judgment and wrath of God upon the unbelieving world as well! What good is it to tell someone you love them yet let them perish in a fire if you could have saved them?! Tell them about what awaits them if they do not accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior!
“Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.“
God bless my friends! Maranatha!
