We are weak but He is strong!

Living in this world as a believer is often difficult and at many times we find ourselves at a loss for what to do, we find that we are weak and in need of help.  We often may not know what to pray for, however the Spirit of God is within us to intercede for us.

Romans 8:26-27

“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. ²⁷ Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.“

We are weak, we all sin, and we all need God to intercede for us.  It is not God who sins, but us, and it is not God who makes mistakes but us also.  No one is perfect, I know that I’m not, but God is perfect in all of His ways, He cannot sin nor can He err!  We all need God, we all need forgiveness, and we all need His help.

His will is for no one to perish, yet many will not repent and turn to Him.

2 Peter 3:9

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.“

If you are saved then God is with you at all times, but are we with Him at all times?! 

Luke 19:10

“for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.“

He seeks us out and searches our heart, but do we seek Him out as well?  Do we listen to His voice, do we follow His lead and His will?

Jeremiah 17:10

“I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”

As humans fallen from grace our sinful instinct is to run from God, to hide our face.  It is God who seeks us first and searches our heart.  He comes knocking at our door to commune with us so that we may accept Him and have eternal life.  Even as believers we can wander away from God, we can choose to not listen to the Holy Spirit within.

God is good and He loves His children dearly, more than any of us could know.  He wants the best for us according to His will not our own.  He will never leave us nor forsake us, He is always with us, forever!

Romans 8:38-39

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, ³⁹ nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.“

When you feel weak and unsure, when things are difficult and you don’t know what to do then seek the Lord, seek Him in all things!  He is there, He is listening, He is our Helper, our Comforter, and our Friend.  God is already with us, we must seek His wisdom and understanding each and everyday!

Matthew 7:7-8

‘Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” ‘
