We see daily now the results of warfare, of evil and violence, of horrific and heinous crimes being committed upon humanity! These atrocities are real and in the flesh, yet they are not based solely on the physical but the spiritual.
We fight against evil in the world, both physically and mentally, yet there is a spiritual nature which is behind these attacks. There is a spiritual dimension which supersedes the physical, a dimension where demonic forces seek to undermine what belongs to God Almighty!
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
This is the real enemy, principalities, powers, and spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places!
Does this mean that we do not or should not actually fight against physical aggression? No! What it does mean is that there is a spiritual dimension behind these evil acts. Just as ISIS is being led by these evil forces, we should pray to stop them and fight to stop them!
And just as a family who is being attacked by intruders into their home, we should pray, but we should also do what we can to physically stop them, as long as it doesn’t put our loved ones into further harm.
“To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
2 A time to be born,
And a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;
3 A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;”
This spiritual warfare does not always attack us physically but also mentally and emotionally as well! We must pray to bind and overcome these spirits of darkness just as Jesus has given us the authority to do so.
“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Evil spirits will seek to do us harm, and the closer we get to God and performing His will then they will attack us more!
Do not fear what is to come upon this world, fear God!
“And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. 5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!“
Stay close to God and He will guide your paths, remain steadfast in your walk with the Lord for He is your Protector and your Friend! Put on the whole armor of God daily so that you will be able to fight off the fiery darts of the enemy!
God bless my friends! Maranatha!
