Destruction of the Church!

children of God

Commentary By:  Gordon King

Satan and his demons seek to destroy all the workings of God Almighty.  Theirs is to steal, kill, and destroy!

John 10:10

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

This is what is now happening in the world today, not only in the secular world but also in the world of believers.  Satan is attempting to break apart the church of God, to tear it down, to destroy it!  He is causing division in the church and bringing disharmony and discontent among believers.

I am witnessing it first hand, with people claiming to be true believers in Jesus Christ attempting to tear down my faith, and making false claims against me!  However, I am strong in my faith and beliefs of Jesus Christ, and no man or demon will separate me from God Almighty!  And even if my faith weakens, the Lord will keep me under the shelter of His mighty wings, for I am a child of God!

As believers in Jesus Christ we must be very careful in what we say and how we say it, especially when it comes to other believers.  We are children of the Most High God of the universe, but so are they!  If we worship the same God, then we should treat each other with respect, forgiveness, mercy, and kindness.

So why is it then that there is so much division in the church?  Why do some believers attempt to bring down low the faith of another believer?  What I can tell you is that it is not from God!  It is neither holy, righteous, or pure, nor is it the will of our Father in heaven.

Our Father’s desire is for us to treat each other out of the love in our hearts, with dignity and respect for one another.  His will is for us not to tear down faith, but to build it up!  To encourage one another, to carry each others burdens, just as Christ has done for us.

No, condemning another believer whether he or she is right or wrong in some belief of scripture is not godly, but satanic!  While having a discussion about scripture is a good thing, something we should all be doing, it is not the same if done from the wrong spirit.  We should teach and instruct from the goodness of our heart, not out of anger or frustration.  It should be done from love and with love.  And if we continue to stand firm in our belief, then so be it!  We should agree to disagree and not become irate.  There are many beliefs which determine our eternal destiny, our salvation, yet there are many more which do not.

While it may be our first reaction to act defensively out of anger and frustration, it is not the godly thing to do.  Yet, this is exactly how the world acts, with knee jerk reactions.  We must be more like God, more Christ-like.  Even for myself, I sometimes find that I want to come out fighting, yet my spirit tells me no!  It tells me to act out of love, to be respectful, and to be kind.  This isn’t always the easiest thing to do, yet it is the godly thing to do!

We must all be aware of just how we are treating other believers, we must be sensitive to the faith and beliefs that they hold.  This does not mean that we cannot disagree or present our beliefs from a scriptural view, of course we can and we should.  However, we must do so with the heart and mind of God.   Anything else is of the flesh, it is satanic, unholy, unrighteous, and unpure!

The church of God Almighty is being attacked from without and from within, it is being inundated with false beliefs and practices.  But, as the body of Christ, we must hold fast and firm in our walk with God.  We must unite as one body, as the body of Christ!  We are His and He is ours.

I believe that if two believers who disagree on scriptural teachings, and they come to odds with each other, that is to say that they are tearing down each others faith and discouraging each other, then they should part ways.  It does the believer and the church no good for them to continue bashing each other over the head!

What should matter is the holiness and sanctity of Jesus Christ, knowing that He is God, that He was born of a virgin, that He died on the cross, was resurrected from the dead, and that He now sits at the right hand of the Father in heaven.  That He is the only way to heaven, and that the only way to be saved is by repenting of your sins and accepting Him as your Lord and Savior!  Amen.  These things are essential to being a believer, these things cannot be argued about, they are what they are, just as God is who He is!  Any other belief and you are not a Christian.

There are those in the world who want to pick a fight, those who want nothing more than to argue.  Time is precious, and our time should best be spent for the Lord.  Instead of fighting we should be doing His work, performing His will, and leading the lost to salvation!  I do my best to allow everyone to make comments, however, when I see that someone only wants to argue then I will stop posting their comments.  It takes away from the time I have to share the good news of Jesus Christ!

I was not commissioned by God to start this blog for the sake of argument, but for the sake of helping those lost in the world and for the sake of encouragement to believers.  If you feel discouraged by what I write, if you feel that I am misleading or misguiding, then please do not read this blog.  I am not twisting anyone’s arm to read anything that I have written, nor am I forcing anyone to believe what I believe, yet I do with all of my heart!

God Almighty has given me the authority to begin and continue on with this blog.  It was He who told me to do so, and I will continue on as my Lord has told me to do, all according to His will.  If I do anything less than I am rebelling against God!  I am not here to please man, but God.

Listen to the Spirit of the Lord!  Follow the leading and the guiding of the Holy Spirit within.  Keep your heart and your mind on the things of heaven up above.  Do not allow the teachings of the world to infiltrate your mind and your heart.

God bless my friends!  Maranatha!

  1. Gorden keep up the wonderful work you do for the Lord. ..your writings have so blessed me and still blesses me as I’m sure many others are blessed by your blogs. ..You always know when your doing God’s will that’s when satan tries to wear you down stay strong in the Lord Gordon. ..much love brother in Christ. .God Bless Maranatha Speed The Day. .

  2. You are so right! hope you will continue, because we need so much, keep on gone the Way you are doing right now…

  3. The world is in so many churches today. It’s becoming more and more difficult to find a church who treasures the Word and doesn’t allow the world to infiltrate it. Thank you for being the voice of reason & of Christ!

  4. Finally, a sane, reasoned and amicable essay about NOT being hateful, suspicious and presumably more righteous than Christians whose traditions are different from someone’s narrow and “pure” criteria about who belongs to Christ and who does not. Thank you. God bless you.

  5. You are so right Mr. King! I am from a ministry where Jesus Christ has for decades been lifted up and souls have been saved worldwide! In the course of time the pastor of the church (who went home to Jesus in 2008), was attacked, lied about, and viciously maligned despite the fact that God used him to send missionaries around the world, and he preached the whole Word of God, with fruit! To this day there are still so called Christians defaming his name and the work of God that he presided over!
1Peter 1:22 speaks of having unfeigned love for the brethren, and in John 15:4 Jesus says to love one another! What you experienced and what my beloved pastor experienced ought not to be! In 1John 4:20 the Apostle says that if a man says he loves God, but hates his brother, he is a liar! You can’t love God Who you have not seen and at the same time hate your brother in Christ who can see! And in chapter 3, verse 15 if you hate your brother you are a murderer, and John says you know that a murderer does not have eternal life! Very strong words, yes, but God is very serious about this subject!
The universal Body of Jesus Christ needs to beware in their churches the type of hatred exhibited by many who profess to be saved while maligning and hating their brothers and sisters in Christ! God’s unconditional love is the key! We all are weak and fail at times, but we need to allow the grace and mercy of God to rule in our hearts so that we give to others what we have been freely given! Thank you for your message and God bless!

  6. Thank you for your comments soxpatfan!

I appreciate your encouragement! Sorry to hear about your pastor, I know how he felt! God is love, and we are to be Christ-like in our ways, however, can we do so while condemning one another? I think not. Like you have stated and given many biblical verses, we cannot love one another if we hate our brother. Not one of us is perfect, we should all be on the path to learning more about God, about who He is, about His ways and His thoughts. We must teach each other out of love, not anger.

    God bless! Maranatha!

  8. What you say is so true for MOST evangelical churches. However, do you advocate keeping silent when a church(es) who claim Jesus Christ no longer follow the teachings of Christ and His Word and not expose their heresy? Are you saying we should shut up and let these reprobate “ministers of the Gospel” continue to lead souls to hell?

  9. Think about it, of the nearly seven billion people on the planet, Christians must be eliminated to more easily welcome in The New World DIS-order. Revelation gives us details of the mark of the beast and true Christians will have nothing to do with it. It’s already begun with national and international ID’s. Currently it’s mandatory for government employees and military personal, and soon will be for everyone else where no one will be able to buy or sell without it. Unfortunately, most Christians will also accept the mark, brand, number, chip because the spin-masters will sell all the benefits of having it. Christians who don’t know their Bible will also succumb by justifying their survival and that God would never want them to do otherwise. They will easily forget that we cannot serve two masters until it’s two late for them.

Yes, the church must be rendered inert first to enable the New World DIS-order to happen with the least amount of opposition as possible. Watch for a major event that will begin the evil process of controlling everyone’s life. Make no mistake, a new world leader will surface providing the road to peace, but there will be NO peace.

CHRISTIANS UNITE in the name of GOD for the ONLY peace the world can have..

  10. Thank you Gordon for another very relevant post! The True Church is the body of born again believers who worship in spirit and in truth. I think end time teachings can cause fear to rise up the exact opposite of faith in lukewarm, carnal Christians that have not come to a full trusting surrender of their selves to The Lord without reserve. They still love their life in this world and they do not want to lose it for Jesus sake. therefore, they do not pick up and carry their cross daily and actually do not have any comprehension of what that means in real experience. I know from my own experience that even that total surrender will be brought about by the Lord and it is not something we can do for ourselves , however, we can be willing for The Lord to have His way. We must submit to the way of the cross in our own lives even being bold to pray against ourselves, the old man, the flesh in favour of The Lord’ s will and His transformation being worked out in us. So Gordon there it is in plain language, If you are not tickling ears and speaking smooth things you will have the persecution that follows from lukewarm carnal Christians who want to be popular and keep their lives in this world, their flesh won’t like what you are telling and that will bring a cross to you. The Lord has called you to this ministry and He will sustain you in it , many believers that come here to read your posts discern that what you are saying is truth as I do and many are supportive, we must stand together and be accountable to each other too , however, what is said in love for the good of brother or sister will correct and heal not cause lasting distress hurt and pain and that is how you will know them… by their love!

    God bless you Gordon!

  11. Thanks for your question Dean!

If you remember I also said this:

“What should matter is the holiness and sanctity of Jesus Christ, knowing that He is God, that He was born of a virgin, that He died on the cross, was resurrected from the dead, and that He now sits at the right hand of the Father in heaven. That He is the only way to heaven, and that the only way to be saved is by repenting of your sins and accepting Him as your Lord and Savior! Amen. These things are essential to being a believer, these things cannot be argued about, they are what they are, just as God is who He is! Any other belief and you are not a Christian.”

Like I said, these things cannot be argued about, meaning that they are the truth about Jesus Christ and we must all stand firm in this belief. Maybe I should have made myself more clear in stating that we should definitely speak up and out about this.

Ours as believers is to uncover the darkness, the lies, and shine a light upon the truth!

The main purpose of the post was to make a point about being kind and loving towards one another, not condemning each other, I wasn’t writing it about deception in the church. There are many deceptions in the world and the church today, and we must shed light upon them, exposing them for what they are.

I have written before about my thoughts and beliefs on deception in the church, here is just one post that I wrote (and I have written much more about this):
Seek God in Spirit and Truth! Beware of Deception!

When I write a post on this blog, then I am speaking up not shutting up. I am shedding the light upon the darkness. However, we cannot make all believe the truth, there are many who will be led astray. People will make choices of their own free will.

    God bless!

  12. Thank you Christine!

That makes a whole lot of sense. I don’t think that I really looked at it that way before, at least not in that respect. I do know of many lukewarm Christians, and I often wonder why they live as the world does. However, when they hear me speak about the times we are in, most think that I am nuts!

    God bless! Maranatha!

  13. You know Gordon, it’s always like breathing fresh Norwegian mountain air to read what you have to say. (You remember I’m norwegian maybe)
It’s been quite a while since I commented here, but that’s not because I don’t want to. – Im just reading so much, and generally I’m busy with so much.
But what you say here is again absolutely true. – And I’m shocked about some other websites how rude and terrible people answer each other. And I’m talking about christian websites!
But I have learned something since last we talked.
Jesus words when he talked about false teachers: “Know them by their fruit”.
I may be bad to judge who teach right or wrong, but something I recognise. – The good fruit is when people are polite and don’t need to yell or be angry when you disagree. – The bad fruit is nearly impossible to deal with. They never stop arguing, and the biggest goal seems not to be glorifying God, but to win a discussion to glorify themselves and their own ego instead.

    Keep on going Gordon!

  14. That was a very good comment Christine.
There is a lot of lukewarm believers who love this world more than God.
And there is also some who are still stucked by the law. To do good deeds to make a show-off to others, and try to make themselves comfortable. – I have seen them myself. Those people like to tell what they have done. Like the phariseers.
I’d rather put it out the opposite way. To take up the cross is not to do good deeds, it’s rather about what you not do.
To stay away from things that leads to the wrong track, and then let the spirit lead you instead.
Then the good deeds will come naturally, and we can not glorify ourselfs because it’s not done by ourselves, but by the spirit through us.
And that’s probably the reason people get so angry and offensive in discussions when you ask or discuss about good deeds.
They got offended when someone put a finger on what is really is about… Their own ego and glory.

  15. Thanks for your comments Oystein!

It’s good to hear from you again brother!

I agree with you, some people just want to argue, and don’t seem to be searching for the truth! Thank you for your encouragement, very much needed in these trying times.

    God bless!

  16. Sir, I read your comments and so easily agree. Everything you wrote is prophecy and was foretold in the Beginning of the Garden of Eden. Adam’s disobedience and Eve’s decision set the course for today’s manifestation of the struggle of redemption back to God. KJV Philippians 2:5 states “Let that same mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” We simply as a nation do not have the same mind of Christ Jesus.
