Will there be true peace? Do they want true peace?

Middle East Peace copy

Commentary By:  Gordon King

Peace and Security, Dividing the Land, a Two State Solution, terms we often hear when listening to news about the Middle East, and specifically Israel.  Yet, this has been going on for several decades now.  Are we any closer to a peace agreement between Israel and the Arabs?  Could we be nearing the time when we actually see a real agreement of peace in Israel?

I believe that we may be on the verge of such an agreement taking place.  Many in the world would like to see a two-state solution, dividing the land of Israel, the land that was given to the Jews thousands of years ago by the God of the universe!  God will judge those who divide His land!

Joel 3:1-2

For behold, in those days and at that time, when I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; they have also divided up My land.”

The point is, do the Palestinians really want peace?  And just what do they define as peace anyway?!  Of course peace is a good thing, and we should do what we can, when we can to promote it.  I would argue that the Palestinians, and many Arabs do not want peace.  What they do want is the destruction of Israel and the Jews!  When they say peace, what they actually mean is the destruction of Israel and the annihilation of the Jews, all Jews.  Peace to them is not the same as peace to you and I.

The world is being deceived into believing that the Arabs want nothing more than peace, and that the Palestinians only want a larger homeland.  I wholeheartedly disagree!  While they say that they want peace with Israel, they say at the same time that they want to destroy Israel and the Jews.  Many if not most of them teach their children from birth to hate and kill Jews.

We hear over and over again Arabs all over the Middle East saying that they will destroy Israel and the Jews, do we believe them, or do we hide our heads in the sand and ignore their words?

There will be a peace agreement signed between Israel and the Arabs, it will happen, yet it is not what you may think it is.  This agreement will be enforced by the Antichrist.

Daniel 9:27

Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;  But in the middle of the week he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.

This is just how close we are to these things happening, a peace agreement between Israel and the Arabs, and the beginning of the Tribulation period!

Whether or not anyone really wants peace in the Middle East, this will happen, the pieces are in play, the stage is being set.  When you hear the words “peace and safety” than know the time is at hand!

1 Thessalonians 5:3

For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

God told us these things would happen so that we would know and be ready.  He gave a warning of judgment to those who would divide the land of Israel, and to those who seek to destroy His people!

A two-state solution, a true agreement of peace, or a false sign of hope leading to the beginning of the Tribulation period?

The only true peace is found in Jesus Christ, there will only be true peace in the world once Jesus returns.

God bless my friends!  Maranatha!

I know that we’re closer than ever, but if they do it this year it doesn’t leave time for the Gog/Magog war since the first 31/2 years, Israel will be at “peace”. Think Russia’s move on the bait will give us a better timeline… that is, if we’re still here to see it. Your take on this???

      Thanks for your comments Hope.

I don’t really know exactly how things will play out. Perhaps the Ezekiel 38 war of Gog/Magog will occur before the Tribulation begins, as I believe it will, but maybe not. Perhaps this war will happen very soon, we don’t know just how long this war will last, but it sounds like it won’t last long since God is intervening for Israel against Gog and Magog.

And perhaps the church will be raptured before all of this takes place, and if so then the rapture could be at any time. I do believe that the rapture will occur before the beginning of the Tribulation period. However, it could also be after the Gog/Magog war.

So a peace treaty with Israel this year, perhaps, I don’t know, no one does. But, everything is falling into place, and it all seems set to happen at any time, just as the bible predicts.

The point is that it could all happen very soon, whether it is this year, next year or even the next. What seems like forever to us is but a blink of an eye to God. I have been watching all of this play out for decades, the push for a peace treaty with Israel, the rise of radical Islam, and the rise of antisemitism, it’s all coming to a head and becoming much more intense.

      God bless! Maranatha!

Thank you for such a detailed answer. I tend to think that Ezekiel 38 will occur before the Trib also… Even so, our day is unlike any previous generation in that it is mind-boggling, frightening, and exciting all at the same time. Maranatha!
