We are already Blessed!

In God we trust copy

Commentary By:  Gordon King

Blessed is the one who places his faith and trust in God Almighty!  Blessed is the one who takes shelter under the wings of the Most High!

Psalm 91:1-2

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;  My God, in Him I will trust.”

We can have confidence in knowing that we as children of God Almighty are blessed, that we do not have to wait to be blessed by God, but that we have been and are already blessed by God!

Psalm 34:8-10

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!  Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints!  There is no want to those who fear Him.  10 The young lions lack and suffer hunger;  But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.”

God blesses those who love Him, and once we have been saved, born-again, then we are already blessed!  Blessed is He who saves, and blessed are those who seek the LORD God.

Many of us pray to God for blessings, for things which God already knows that we are in need of, things which are already in His hand and destined for our good will.  God loves us dearly and wants nothing more than to bless us with His love and provisions.

Keep your faith upon the Lord, seek Him first in all things, and you will be blessed!  Follow the path which the Holy Spirit gives you and the good Lord will pour out His blessings upon you.

Seeking God first is something that every believer should be doing, something which can further bless us.

Matthew 6:33

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

It’s our lack of faith and belief that places doubt in God’s promises to us.  We are told that we are already blessed because we love God and place our trust in Him.  So believe!  Trust in the promises of God, know that you are already blessed, and that God wants the best for you!

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Knowing that God will provide, that His will is for us to be taken care of, and that He wants the very best for us.  We as the children of God are called according to His purpose!  So even though things may be difficult, and even though we suffer at times, we can rest assured that God will make these things work together for our good!

Those who love God are blessed, as long as you are saved, as long as you love and place your trust in God Almighty!

Scripture tells us that when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior that we are blessed.  It is God’s will for us to be blessed.  We are His and He is ours, why wouldn’t He want to bless us?  Believe in God’s promises, believe that what God tells us is the truth, and believe that if you are a child of God that you are blessed and will continue to be blessed!

I know that at times many, if not most of us, go through very difficult times, believe me I know.  We must persevere and know that God is with us and that He will see us through.  That He will turn tragedy into blessings, and turn rags into crowns and robes fit for a king!

The God I know, the God I trust in is truly a blessing to me!  If this were not enough, He has promised to bless and protect me.  He has promised to turn tragedy into good, and give me the desires of my heart.

Psalm 37:4

Delight yourself also in the LordAnd He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Seek first the kingdom of God, trust in the promises of God, and know that He will be with us forever!

God bless my friends!  Maranatha!

    Nice Gordon, thank you.
    We serve an awesome God!

Thank you dear Heavenly Father for all your blessings, to be able to wake up and smell my morning coffee, to see the marvel of a sunrise, the shades of the clouds at sundown, and everything in between. Including the hard knocks too Lord, to make us aware, and appreciate more intensely the blessings. Carry us through Father, the times that are difficult with Your strength and perseverance. Give us all Your wisdom and fortitude to keep going against the odds and grateful for all the blessing we already have. To trust you wholeheartedly and with all our being for You know us best, Father. In Jesus’ Holy Name I pray. Amen.
    Maranatha!
