Bible Prophecy Unfolding!

Bible prophecy

Commentary By:  Gordon King

Prophetic events mentioned in the bible seem to most like they will never happen, as if they were merely written as stories, as fables.  These events are actually unfolding before our eyes, as if being they were reported thousands of years before taking place.

At times it may seem as though bible prophecy written by the prophets of old may not occur, or that they may not actually happen as the bible predicts that they will.  However, we need to look at prophecy which did already occur, which happened with 100% accuracy.

Take for instance all of the over three hundred prophecies written about the birth, life, and resurrection of Jesus.  All did happen, and not only did they happen, but with 100% accuracy!  What prophet can boast that?  What other religion can boast that?!

The rebirth of the nation of Israel also happened as foretold, just as they said it would, born in one day!

The dissension and battle of brother against brother in Egypt also happened, just as scripture said that it would.  And while the entire prophecy of Isaiah may not have occurred yet, it most certainly has begun.

Isaiah 19:2

“I will set Egyptians against Egyptians;  Everyone will fight against his brother,  And everyone against his neighbor,  City against city, kingdom against kingdom.”

Zechariah 12:3

“And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.

The Middle East today is no different, bible prophecies written about future events which are to take place were written about thousands of years ago, such as the Ezekiel 38 war, the rise of the Antichrist, the rapture of the church, the abomination of desolation, the Mark of the Beast, Armageddon, and the second coming of Christ!

Many of the prophecies in the bible are in fact coming to pass.  What we read in scripture and what actually happens may not be the way that we think that they will occur, or will happen at the time or speed in which we think that they will.  Many prophecies don’t take place all at once, they occur over time.  They progress and unfold, as a movie script, starting slowly and progressing into the full-blown prophecy!

It’s not always easy seeing what is happening right before your eyes, but it much easier to see once it has happened.  Just as things in life, when they are happening to us, then it is difficult for us to understand and see everything that is going on around us, but when we look back after the fact, then we can see more clearly and then have a better understanding of what has occurred.

It seems as though the Ezekiel 38 war should have already started by now, everything is in place for it, how much longer could it be?  We must remember that God works in His own time, not by our time.  Our time is short, there is no time in God’s realm.

Just because we do not see the fulfillment of bible prophecy, does not mean that it is not happening.  It is happening all around us, everyday.  It is unfolding just as the bible said that it would in the end times, like a table cloth folded into a small square, being unfolded gradually, until finally it becomes a completed covering for the table.

Take heart and do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you!  He is in control of all things, and all of what He said would happen will happen!

God bless my friends!  Maranatha!

I asked for Wisdom ,He gave it to me. For He says in his word, ” My people perish for lack of Wisdom. ” People must SEARCH His word on a constant basis and research more to understand of the unfolding of the destroyed world. Each day I partake in Feasting upon HIS WORD. Old Testament Prophetic Books. sEEK and ye SHALL find. Ask and it shall be given.

      Thanks for your comments Grace!

I believe that you are referring to Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”?

However, without wisdom we cannot fully understand knowledge. Therefore we must ask for wisdom, and God will give it to us.

      James 1:5
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

Unfortunately many believers do not study or search God’s word for the truth, but merely listen to what others have to say about it.

God is good and will not withhold any good thing from His children, if it is according to His will. Ask and ye shall receive.

      God bless Grace! Maranatha!
