Psalm 34

“I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.

11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

16 The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

22 The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

    Amen!
Now is the time to heed the Lord’s warnings and be right with Him. For He is so close to coming and taking us home.
    Come Lord Jesus, come!

I pray at this writing Gordon your feeling better and improving day by day. I pray you have found your answers to the reason why. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
Our Lord is using you my friend, in many ways but also through your illness, your closer to Him (not to say you weren’t, but being sick at home gives you the time you wouldn’t have had.) Through our illnesses and how we handle it helps not only ourselves but someone else. I’m a strong believer in everything that happens in our lives (including health issues), are lessons to be learned either by us or someone else or a combination of both, and how we handle them makes us stronger or weaker for the challenges ahead. The right attitude, frame of mind comes through in our faith. Which in turns prepares us to become good citizens in God’s kingdom through our belief in Christ and the good fruits it bears.. Everything works together for our good. God bless and be healthy.

    A beautiful Psalm brother Gordon!
Let His praise be continually on our lips. Let our hearts ring with His thanksgiving.
Let our hearts be constantly broken, our innermost be contrite for ever, our Lord reineth upon high and His unapproachable holiness and magnificence is so unfathomable!
His mighty name be glorified and for all times exalted!

Thank you Gordon, I am praying through this psalm, it is very relevant for the current times as I am sure it was throughout history. It’s so amazing that whenever we are at a loss for words the right psalm is able to sum up and cover everything we are fearing, hoping, thinking and feeling so emphatically!
    God bless and Maranatha!

      Thank you Christine!

This Psalm says a whole lot about both the saved and the unsaved! It should give us all hope and reassurance.

      God bless! Maranatha!
