Heaviness in the air!

Rebellion Against God

Commentary By:  Gordon King

Brothers and sisters in Christ, I send my love and blessings to you all!

I am feeling a heaviness in my spirit, a feeling which is dark and obtrusive.  I am sensing demonic spirits around me and in the world in general.  The darkness is making itself known, and the anitchrist spirit is thriving!

The forces of darkness are in a frenzy, and their quest for domination is upon us all.  Wickedness is abounding and the lost are feeding on its prey.  The world is at odds with what is good and holy, and what is evil and unholy.  There is good, and there is evil, there is no in-between!

We can either serve the god of this world, or we can serve the God of the universe, Jesus Christ.  Those are the two options, there are no other, and there is no other name upon which one can be saved, only Jesus Christ!

The evil in this world is one of a spiritual nature, yet it does manifest itself into the physical dimension.  We see this in the evil and wicked acts of people throughout the world, day in and day out.

I love the people in this world, no matter their religion, no matter their race, no matter their sexual orientation.  Yet, I do not love the sin, I hate the sin, as God does!

The truth is the truth, there is no changing that.  Whatever a person believes to be the truth does not make it the truth, the truth remains the truth no matter what a person believes.  For example, if I believe that adultery is not a sin, this does not make it so, God says that it is a sin.  If I believe that all religions lead to heaven, this does not make it so!  There is only one way to heaven, and that way is through Jesus Christ!

The truth is that you either accept God or you rebel against Him, no other choice.  You either believe that Jesus Christ is God and died to give us eternal life, or you don’t.  All other religions requires works for salvation, only Christianity offers eternal life as a free gift from God!  A gift which is bestowed upon us, even though we do not deserve it.

There are people in other religions committing horrible and heinous acts of violence in the world, this is true, it is evil and wicked.  Yet, while I do not hate these people, I do hate the sin they are committing!  I love them as people, and wish for them to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ!

Exposing the evil in the world is one of our callings as believers, it is our duty to shine the light into the world, and to spread the truth.  There are many unbelievers who claim that we are evil and intolerant for doing such things.  They say that we are very narrow-minded in our beliefs.  I would have to agree with the last statement, we are narrow-minded, because the path which leads to salvation is a narrow one.  There is only one way to heaven, and there are few who find it!

John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” ‘

I don’t expect for everyone to believe in what I believe in, nor do I expect everyone to agree with me on all issues.  However, there comes a time when you either believe the truth or you don’t.  I proclaim to know the truth, because I have experienced the truth!  The unsaved say that they know the truth, but how can they if they have never before experienced it?  Jesus Christ is the truth, and the only way to know Him is to have a relationship with Him!

There is soon coming a time when God will no longer strive with man, but say enough is enough!

Genesis 6:3

‘And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” ‘

Some people say that they don’t believe in God, yet they argue against Him!  How can you argue against someone you don’t even believe exists!  That would be like me arguing about a purple elephant in the room, if there was no such thing.  Why would I even do it?!  It makes no sense whatsoever.  And yet self-proclaimed atheists do that very thing.  They come up with all kinds of reasons and opinions on why God really doesn’t exist, yet if He didn’t then why are they arguing about Him?  Because deep inside they know that He does exist!

The world makes tons of excuses for the sin in their lives, explaining away the sin itself.  They turn things around, and take scripture out of context in order to rationalize their lifestyle.  Anyone of us could take a verse of scripture here and a verse over there, then twist it around out of context to make it sound like God condones sin.  When in fact He is telling us just the opposite!  And if they don’t even believe in God, then why do they even quote scripture?!  Yet, many do.

This is the evil, the darkness which is looming in the world today.  Satanic beings influencing the minds of all those who will listen.  Demonic spirits masquerading as good, deceiving those vulnerable to attack.  Some will come dressed in sheep’s clothing, and some will come wearing darkness on their sleeves.  There are those who will hide their true identity, and then there are those who will come out blatantly, arrogantly, and without restraint!

If we know that God exists, and if we are living a godly life, walking with the Lord daily, then we already know the truth.  We know that God performs miracles, that He is with us always, and that one day we shall be with the Lord forever!  However, the darkness, the evil, will attempt to change our minds and our hearts.  They will tell us lies, feed us false hope, and try to lead us astray!

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, the day is soon coming for our eternal redemption, for the good work which the Lord began within us to be completed!  The rapture of the church is coming soon, whether or not you believe in pre, mid, or post trib, it’s coming soon!  Let us not fight among ourselves regarding such things, but agree to disagree.  I know that I have given what I believe to be the truth about the timing of the rapture, yet I do not know for certain until it happens!  We can all believe what we want regarding this matter, yet we are all saved, we are all children of God!

Follow the lead of the Holy Spirit, listen to His voice.  Give heed to the call of God, and know that He is with you!  These are dark times that we are living in, times which are difficult to live as believers.  However, we know that God is with us, that He is victorious, that Satan has already been defeated.  We know the outcome of the future, we know where our eternal destiny is, and we know who we serve!  What more could we ask?

God Almighty, Jesus Christ, hear my prayer.  I come to You in humble adoration, giving You thanks in all things.  You are the King of kings and the Lord of lords.  I ask that You give Your children protection from the evil ones, peace and comfort that only You can provide, and blessings from heaven above.  Bring us together in one spirit and one mind.  In Jesus holy name I pray.  Amen

God bless my friends!  Maranatha!

  1. Gordon! I have been feeling the enemy’s blows for the past few days, actually since Sunday. He is running like a maniac using the lost to get to His children. I don’t know if you read my last two posts about the goings on in my life these last few days. He was really trying hard. And I can still feel him trying, but he knows he can’t win with me because my Father is the King of kings and Lord of lords. Amen!!

  2. Indeed, how true are your words, Gordon. Very comprehensible.
    Amen to your prayers.

We are, children of God who believe in Him and keep His ways. We should strive to lift each other up. The truth of His advent is that He IS coming, and we should be prepare and ready to meet Him. Then and only then will our questions be answered. Til that happens let us be one in the body of Christ, forging ahead and producing the fruits of His Spirit that is in each of us at accepting His gift of grace. God bless you richly.

  3. Thanks for your story Andi!

I feel your pain sister, and I am sorry for what you are going through.

I too have felt the enemy attacking over the past couple of days, and have a story quite similar in ways to yours! I arrived at work a couple of days ago, and a co-worker whom I supervise told me that he had done something which I did not agree to. For some reason it made me angry, and it showed! I never get like that, it just isn’t who I am. Afterwards I felt bad, and the co-worker avoided being around me for two days! At first I thought that I was justified in my response to him, however, I prayed about it and the Holy Spirit told me that I needed to apologize and ask him to forgive me. So that’s what I did first thing this morning, and now everything is fine. I realized that my initial response was inappropriate and wrong.

The thing that really bothered me was that I got angry, I don’t get angry often, it’s not my nature. For the most part I am happy and friendly most of the time. I believe that the evil ones are trying to get the best of us!

Thank the Lord that He was with me and helped me to overcome. And although it doesn’t seem like a really bad situation to be in, it really bothered me!

I believe that the Lord is trying to tell us something, or perhaps teach us a few things. We should pray and ask Him to give us understanding. It seems as though recently the Lord has been putting believers through many trials in order to strengthen our faith, build our courage, and make us more Christ like!

I pray for the Lord to give you guidance, strength, courage, and wisdom. I pray that He protects you from the evil ones, and shines a light through you to those who seek to harm you! In Jesus precious name I pray. Amen.

    God bless Andi!

  4. Thank you Gordon, i truly appreciate it. Wow! Our stories are pretty similar, at the workplace. Except this person was offending me with questioning my job and work, when they have no place to. Sort of “stay in your lane” type situation. I haven’t gotten upset the way I did in awhile. It hurt me after I calmed down because I said a few things and then this person has avoided me as well. Maybe I was harsh too, there’s really no excuse for the way I reacted, even though I was being offended. I’ve been praying about it a lot. And I’m hoping this will end for tomorrow. Well, this lesson, because I know there will be many more. And I agree with you that He is teaching us to be more like Him. I also pray that the Lord covers you and protects you from ones who want to hurt you.
    Be blessed Gordon!

  5. I too have been experiencing some trials that have revealed some negative traits in me that I thought had been dealt with and laid to rest in the past. For example being irritated by family members and judging them and feeling ignored and downtrodden!
I also had a dream where I saw a man that I had thought was dead but he was alive although badly injured so much so that he had to be supported by splints. I think the interpretation was that although the old man is mortally wounded he is still alive and will make himself known in carnal thoughts and attitudes. I think for all of us it is painful when we are aware of the negative traits of the old man in our lives but this pain leads us into closer union with Christ ,when we are willing to agree with Him about our condition by seeing things through His light we are then repenting and putting to death the works of our flesh and growing more into the likeness of Christ. It is the way of the cross and is painful . Just how much we hate our sins now when once we were not aware or troubled by them just shows our growth and that we are on the path of transformation. I believe The Lord is preparing His Bride to be without spot blemish or wrinkle and will soon be coming to call His Bride unto Himself.

My prayer is that we will all be strengthened to stand firm and be in harmony with all parts working together for the good of the whole body of Christ His Church.

God Bless you Gordon and all brothers and sisters in Christ!
    Christine

  6. Hi Gordon. Keep pressing on. Praying for one another. The enemy seeks to kill, steel and destroy. We become discouraged, tired and frustrated from the daily battles. Then, we fall. The enemy knows right where to place his traps for us. But, we have an advocate with the Father 😊 !!! As soon as we recognize our error we confess it to our Lord Jesus, He defends us to the Father and we are cleansed from all unrighteousness. Praise Him. Shalom brother.

  7. Thank you Christine!

Yes, we all have a brokenness inside of us, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Yet, many of us do not see the sin, most of the world does not see the sin they commit every day!

True believers in Jesus Christ see the sin, and we either correct the sin ourselves, or God will do it for us! And the more we grow in Christ, the more we see the sin in ourselves, and the evils in the world around us. We are being sanctified as the bride of Christ, but will not be made whole until our day of redemption, that will be the day when we no longer sin, and our spirits will be 100% Christ-like. Amen.

    God bless Christine!

  8. Thanks you sister Cheryl!

You know as well as I do that there are demonic spirits influencing those living in the world, even the elect! And even though we have been sealed by the Holy Spirit until our day of redemption, these spirits will do their best to bring us down with them! However, as you said, Jesus Christ is our defender, our helper, and our strength. Without Him we can’t do anything, but with Him we can do all things! And He is faithful and true to forgive us of “all” unrighteousness. Amen.

It was good to talk with you yesterday! Such a blessing to commune with fellow believers, and perhaps the woman we spoke with will have a change of heart. We planted the seed, now we pray and wait for the good Lord to do His work within her!

    God bless Cheryl! Maranatha!
