Commentary By: Gordon King
It seems sort of odd that most of the world denies Christ, that they refuse to bow down and confess that He is Lord, and that one day all will bow down and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!
“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.“
One day, all will bow down and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!
To believers it just makes sense to bow down now and confess that Jesus is Lord, instead of waiting until you will do it anyway! You will have to go through so much pain and sorrow, and many into eternal destruction, yet will still bow down to God, and confess that He is God!
People of the world are so hard-headed, arrogant, proud, and stubborn! Do they not know that one day they will have to answer to their Creator?! Are they so full of themselves that they actually believe that they can escape eternal damnation, that they are so “good” that they will get to heaven by their own accord, their own “good” works?
How can anyone living in this world actually doubt that there is a Creator? That everything that ever was, is, or will be just happened from nothing and out of nowhere? Complete and utter nonsense! We all know deep inside of us that there is a Creator, a God of the universe, yet not all of us choose to believe it.
On top of all that, Satan has confused the masses with idols and false gods. He has led many astray from the one and only true God! This is where one must set aside their ideals and compare religions, compare the gods of this world to the God of the universe, Jesus Christ! What god of this world has the power to save, to heal, to give peace, to give eternal life? What God came into this world and sacrificed Himself to save His creation? What God has the power to raise people from the dead, to heal broken bones, to cast out demons? What God changes lives for the better, mends broken hearts, and restores what has been lost? There is only one God which can and does all of these things, Jesus Christ!
If you don’t believe me, then read and study the bible, it’s all been proven to be true, nothing in scripture contradicts itself. There are over 300 prophecies about Jesus written hundreds of years before His birth, all of them came to pass with 100% accuracy! What are the odds? Astronomical, in fact impossible if He was not truly God! What other religion or god of this world can boast the same?! None! Seriously, study it and check it out! Test what I have said and come up with your own conclusions.
Don’t just take my word for it, interview believers and find out what they have to say. Find out just how many people have had their lives changed after being saved! Discover the miracles which have taken place in the lives of millions of believers walking the earth today! Christianity is not something which only happened thousands of years ago, it continues on today. God is moving and performing miracles on a daily basis my friends, daily!
You can choose not to believe, you can tell a believer that what he or she believes is a lie, a fable, but you cannot take away the experiences believers have with God! You cannot change the fact that so many people have experienced the goodness, the glory, and the peace of God. Nor can you deny the fact that millions of believers lives have been changed for the better!
God is not just some spiritual force, floating around in the air, He is a person, a Spiritual person! He loves, He cares, and He provides for His children! God blesses those who seek Him, who love Him, and who are devoted to Him! He is alive!
So you can choose to bow down to the gods of this world, or you can choose to bow down to the one and only true God, Jesus Christ! You can do it now, or you can do it later after its too late! Remember, “every” knee will bow down to God and confess that He is Lord!
God loves you, He is love, He is peace! Give Peace a chance!
God bless everyone, and Merry Christmas! Maranatha!
