The Lord God is our Strength and our Shield

Psalm 28:7-9

The Lord is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him.

The Lord is their strength,
And He is the saving refuge of His anointed.
Save Your people,
And bless Your inheritance;
Shepherd them also,
And bear them up forever.

    Amen!
    Our relationship with God touches every aspect of our lives from the food we eat to everything. It’s not about religion or a religion. It’s about one on one communication with Our Lord and Savior. Having a personal relationship with the one who told us He’d never leave us. It’s putting Him first in your everyday life’s experiences from the time you wake up to the time you lay your head back down to sleep and everything in between.
    It’s trusting in God, in His word, having purity of heart and faithfulness. He is kind and merciful and generous and will see us through anything we find ourselves caught up in. We must not loose hope when we find ourselves in direr situations but forge ahead in fortitude, patience and prayer, with understanding that whatever it is will get better. There is always a purpose for everything… Believe, not give up at the moment of impact or in the slowness of receiving an answer to our prayer. God IS in control. And more so with His children, He gives us His strength and shield!

    Put no trust in man or in ourselves, we make mistakes. We are sometimes caught in situations not of our making but there to make a stand in any way we can with small gestures of kindness or lengthy discussions. If it’s illness you suffer then put it in the hands of God, put the doctors you see, the meds you take in His hands with prayer. Sometimes He wants us to learn patience through our pain. People will see God’s righteousness, kindness, forbearance in us and our steadfastness to our faith.
    Be in the world but not part of it, being a peculiar person to the world at large will make people think at the very least. As the psalm says He is our strength and our shield! Hold on to it!
    God bless.

    Thank you Gordon for that timely Psalm in these troubled times. God bless you always. Maranatha!
