Prime minister orders full intelligence assistance to France; steps up security at embassies, potential Jewish targets

(SOURCE)   Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday urged the civilized world to unite and fight what he called the Islamist terror plague.

Speaking after multiple terror attacks in Paris claimed by Islamic State killed at least 128 people, the prime minister said Israel stands “shoulder to shoulder” with France in the “war against terrorism.”

Israel’s ambassador in Paris Aliza Bin-Noun said earlier Saturday that no Israelis are known to be among the victims in the Paris terror wave.

Speaking in French, Hebrew and English, Netanyahu said he has instructed Israel’s intelligence and security services to offer all possible input and assistance to France and others grappling with the terror onslaught.

He also ordered tightened security at Israeli missions and Jewish sites that might be potential targets.

Netanyahu decried the “systematic and deliberate” attacks on innocents, and said there can never be justification for terrorism; “it must be condemned and fought.”

He said the world faces increasing militant Islamic terrorism. This terrorism attacks Israel and others because it “wants to destroy us,” he added. All terrorists must be fought “without hesitancy,” he said.

“I urge the entire civilized world to unite and defeat the plague of global terror,” he concluded.
